Shared dining concept where you order 2-3 dishes each. Dishes are 15-20 euros a piece. We splurged on wine, so I suppose you could be done for 60-70 euros per person or something.
The place has an industrial, almost steampunkey vibe. Staff is friendly. We did have a drink mix-up, but to be fair, we were a bit chaotic in deciding what we wanted and we changed our mind while brainstorming aloud so I’ll take most of the blame there. Thankfully the ‘wrong’ wine order was delicious so we ended up ordering it again when the glass was empty.
Y’all. We tried 5 dishes and every single one of them was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned and all were surprising.
Bouillabaisse was a bit spicy (love it!).
Gamba’s had a very distinct, amazing sauce, forgot what it was. And grilled on charcoal, too!
Lamb was tender and pink and had a cilantro-mint sauce. I would never have the guts to put those 2 heavy flavours together but mannnn it was amazing!
The ribs were marinated in something like soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce and… pistachio? It WORKS. Take the leap.
And then the chocolate brûlée… Oof. Like they melted a fine Belgian chocolate bar, caramellized the top and put ice cream on top.
You will not be disappointed.
The picture was of the bathroom mirror, I thought it was funny and quirky. Didn’t photograph the interior or the...
Read moreWe always come here to have their bavette whenever my parents are visiting. Until a few days ago we never experienced rude or unprofessional staff. The waitress was clearly having a bad day, which is so understandable, both me and my partner work in Horeca and we know how hard some days can be. She served the Prosecco aperitif, and then came with the bottle of wine nearly right after. She wasn’t pleased when we asked to have the wine with our main course (as it should). The cherry on top of the cake was when we asked if it was possible to have apple pie with a scoop of ice cream, I even said with extra charge, I wasn’t expecting to get a free scoop at all. My father simply wanted apple pie with ice cream🤷🏼♀️ she then went on arguing me that they have no ice cream, I said that the toffee nut dessert has ice cream so they must have. She then said that it’s counted for that dessert especially, and very rudely denied our scoop of ice cream. Really bizarre attitude, we always tip even if the service was meh, but this time we really felt that her attitude was very unprofessional. Needless to say we didn’t get desserts. It’s such a pity because it was our last meal together before my parents left. Ps: the chimichuri was much better before, this time it was overly sweet and vinegary, we...

I celebrated my birthday at Jamey Bennett in Den Haag, and it was genuinely one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. We were there for five hours, and not once did a waitress approach us to ask if we needed anything. Every single time we wanted to order food or drinks, we had to chase someone down. It felt like we were invisible.
To make matters worse, at the end of the evening, our waitress spilled all the drinks on me. And instead of apologising or offering to help, she just stood there as if nothing had happened. I even had to ask her, “Can you please clean the table?” – no initiative, no sense of responsibility.
For a place with such a reputation, this was shockingly poor service. Definitely not coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a special occasion spot. Disappointed is an...
