The hotel boasts an excellent location — right in the city center and within walking distance of almost everything, including public transportation. While there’s no parking available at the hotel, they do recommend a paid option on their website. However, we found a much more affordable alternative just a 5-minute walk away: QPark Lutherse Burgwal, where we paid 62 euros for three days, compared to the 125 euros charged by the suggested garage. We left the car there for the long weekend and got around easily on foot or by tram.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and polite, and the decor was stylish and tasteful. Everything was clean and well maintained. That said, for the rate of over 250 euros per night, we expected a bit more in terms of comfort and amenities.
Our room had a window, but it was oddly positioned very low on the wall, so we had to bend down to see outside. Basic amenities like towels were provided, but there were no bathrobes or slippers. The pillows were extremely large and high, which we personally found quite uncomfortable and made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The shower initially worked poorly, spraying water in all directions. My partner cleaned the shower head and discovered that limescale was blocking the water flow — after that, it worked fine. The shower was an open, walk-in Italian style, but the bathroom floor was completely flat, which caused water to spread across the floor. We had to place a towel at the shower entrance to prevent flooding.
There was also no toilet brush, making it impossible to clean up after use, and the toilet paper provided was quite thin — small details, but disappointing given the price point.
Breakfast was decent, though not outstanding. There was a cook behind the buffet station to prepare fresh items like omelets, pancakes, or French toast, but he seemed very busy with the buffet and didn’t make much eye contact, which made it awkward to place a request. The buffet included three types of cheese and ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, bread, small pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals, smoked salmon, spreads, apple and orange juice, water, cava, and tea and coffee with both regular and oat milk — a nice touch.
At check-out, we received a small gift bag with juice, snacks, and a few candies, along with a 10% discount voucher for a future stay.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience thanks to the location, cleanliness, and staff. However, for the price paid and compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in, we expected a bit more comfort and...

I think this is the best room I've ever stayed in when I'm thinking of how cozy this was. We booked the executive suite and trust me it was worth the money difference, although the other rooms are dope as they follow the same interior design. But the executive suite is awesome. Is located on the last floor and has a lot of areas (dressing, bed, sofa, lounge chairs) and also the view is super nice on the interior courtyard, which is basically the entrance yard of the hotel and it's shared with some really cool restaurants and shops. It's very quiet and I love the view over the traditional buildings and their rooftops.
The bed is very big, super comfy and you feel you are sleeping on a cloud. Everything is spotless clean and they change the towels and bedding each day if you want/need. The bathroom is very luxurious and the toiletries they are using are top (Zenology).
The location is even better - just in the old city center near to everything. We didn't wanted to take the tram to Hague Central and we just walked there for 10-15 minutes.
At the ground floor they have a bar where you can drink cocktails, hot chocolate etc and it's also the area where they serve breakfast, which btw is one of the best breakfast I've ever had. The american pancakes are indeed to die for !!! They also have chips, biscuits, water, chocolate etc that you can buy at the reception and take them to your room in case you don't want to search for any shops nearby.
And last but not least, the staff is the kindest I've ever seen in my life in a hotel !!! Big shout out to the guys on the night shift (sorry I forgot their names as I'm writing this review after more than 1 month). They wanted to make us feel as confortable as they could and answer and helped with everything we asked for.
Really nice plus - the goodies they gave us at the check out.
The only "not really a minus" (to be fair) I was able to find is that we had a little minor incident with the sink in our bathroom, but that got fixed the following morning and they indeed offer us another room, but we preferred to stay in ours and wait for it to be fixed.
Thank you The Collectors! It...
Read moreOn arrival I upgraded from a standard room to a delux room. The standard rooms are extremely small, almost no room to walk around the bed. The room itself was not well planned. The lighting in the room was terrible and I couldn't see the contents of my suitcase or bags. A situation of mood lighting but no lighting for function. The same goes for the bathroom - very badly planned. Poor lighting, a toilet roll holder that was too difficult to reach, a soap tray that meant you left drips of water and sludge all over the vanity top and on the tray - which also housed the drinking glasses so the bottom of the glasses also cover smeared in soap sludge. Only one very poor light on the right hand side of the mirror (no even lighting even for the mirror - never mind the rest of the bathroom). The slope of the shower floor was not enough to stop water spreading to the end of the glass shower wall and spilling over into the dry area of the bathroom. The shower was terribly designed. A rain shower head high in the ceiling (fine but very weak water pressure) and a hand held shower head that had nothing to prop it into so you could use it to shower with (ie all those days when you don't want to wash your hair!) If you use the hand held shower then you only have one hand to wash with - very badly thought out. There was also only 2 teabags in the room but a dozen coffee pods! As for the hotel in general: the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location in the city of The Hague and easy to walk to everywhere. While the owners appear to pride themselves on artistic or creative input they have been hadly let down by the functionality of the rooms. I wouldn't recommend staying here again unless you bring your own lighting, tea bags and attachment to prop the hand held shower into so you don't have to wash your...
