Petit Paradis — Restaurant in The Hague

I really liked it until I went with my dog just to get a takeaway coffee. I wanted to pay when I ordered so I could wait outside with the dog (I understand not everyone likes dogs) but the server said to pay later when it was ready. Then the owner walked in and made a fuss about being scared of dogs and not wanting the dog there (my dog was just chilling and is very friendly). I was trying to pay so I could leave but she kept complaining and looking horrified. She wanted to go outside to serve people so I offered to step outside, allowing her to pass without being close to the dog, but she said she could go out another way. That's what bothered me - she could have just walked out the other way, avoided my dog and said nothing, but instead she made the situation very uncomfortable. Not sure if I will return after this interaction. If dogs are that much of an issue, consider putting a sign...

The service was really great, and so was the coffee, and that's why I was super disappointed with the "Petit Paradis" wrap, which was incredibly lazy and bad. It was essentially a few slices of tomato, with a few bits of raw halloumi (halloumi should be grilled!!), and it seemed like they had just thrown in some pieces of red peppers along with the water from the jar, so that the tortilla wrap was all soggy and wet. It was so lazy that the tortilla wrap was not even rolled, just folded in half, with everything falling out. It was absolutely tasteless and soggy, I couldn't even eat it. We like their initiative of donating money to women in need.

We didn't like that upon our reservation, they decided to serve us the Petit High Tea (and they never asked us!).

Food was nice, but it was a lot of sweet stuff, while we like more salty food (I was looking forward to the avocado sandwich).

Atmosphere is also nice inside, but there was a huge scaffolding covering the whole building outside. Not very "gezellig", and they say nothing about it on...
