PAARD — Attraction in The Hague

I was too upset at the time to write a full review but here goes. I understand that you would want to prevent theft in the cloak room, but if you feel that it is acceptable to withhold personal property for TWO hours until the club closes, something has to change (perhaps the system of handing out numbers to the cloak room on a flimsy, thin piece of paper). While the lady in the cloakroom was communicative and explaining why me missing the piece of paper that has my number on it, even though I remembered the number and even though I took a photo of said number on my phone anticipating that this exact situation would happen!!, she communicated with me as if I was a child (I understand having to deal with drunk and potentially problematic customers is not unheard of but still, I was sober at that time). After the club closed, I went straight to the cloak room to demand my leather jacket and she said to wait until EVERYONE in the club had come and collected their things first!! After waiting another 20 minutes, with only MY jacket hanging from the hangers, she proceeds to ask me “what is the brand of your jacket” to “make sure it is really mine”! Now I know you ladies who thrift can relate, but as this was a thrifted jacket from a not well known brand, the name escaped me. After I desperately told her that it is the last jacket, and that I can show her photos on my phone of me wearing the jacked, did she oblige and, after two long hours since wanting to leave, did I manage to get it...

Was visiting Molotov party, got an sms message from parkmobile that my parking action will be disabled because of the Den Haag APV (local regulations, max 2 hr Street parking). So where does Paard come in? They won't allow you to leave and reenter the venue. You can either leave or stay, but not go out and come back in. Absolutely ludicrous... Also they are using water as cash cow. The toilet lady forbids people to refill their bottles with tap water. I don't drink water myself but forbidding to refill bottles with tap water is ludicrous, not to mention wasteful. Greedy venue.. Greedy anti car city. Tbh I'll avoid this venue in the future. Also the frisk at the entrance is like the worst I've ever been to (they will get very touchy feely in private areas but completely ignore obvious places where people hide stuff, many people on drugs inside...). I don't mind the drugs but I do mind...

I was looking forward to go out with my friends from the netherlands last friday but we got really disappointed. We where already in the club when suddenly one of the security guys started talking to me. I told him I only speak english and not dutch but he ignored me and talked dutch to my friends ( they understood it). I recognized the discussion was about me so i started again to ask polite what the problem was. I got ignored from the security guy again. I tried it again and the security guy spoke finally english to me. He told me I had to leave…I asked for the reason and he told me I look to drunk and then he kicked me out of the club. I never had a such bad treatment at a club and also such a bad behaviour against foreigners expierienced…...
