This place is definitely not worthy of even one star. We were here in the evening and it was a complete disappointment... the price, quality of food, and service are terrible. At first, everything seemed to be fine, but problems had already started in the second round. They didn't bring two portions of sushi, we said it as we noticed, after a while I said again that we didn't get sushi, in the end I had to remind about it three times to get only one serving because the waitress told me that this is the last portion because they ran out of ingredients for these sushi, I said it's okay. And we started choosing the third round A few minutes later, a waitress came up to us and said that we had 5 minutes left to decide on the choice. Because the kitchen closes earlier. I said that I only want to pay for one person because we still had two rounds and sushi that we never got. And we didn't want to hurry and eat in a hurry, and by the way, no one warned us that the kitchen was closing earlier or we had less time indicated on the tablet. We were just put in front of the fact that we have 5 minutes to order. With the accounts for only one person, she refused and said that we can order two rounds at once, we decided to do so because we will still have to pay for two. We decided and ordered only one round because there should be a 10-minute break between the rounds. And then I said again that I only want to pay for one person and I want to leave. She refused again and said that she would order this round herself. I agreed again. After a few minutes the waiter came with him, it was nice to communicate with him, it was noticeable that he at least tried to correct this situation and warned us that if we did not finish what we ordered, we would have to pay extra for it. After that, I was completely disappointed and said that I would only pay for one person. This time they agreed. The result is terrible service, the food is honestly just terrible and not worth the money. Everything we ordered was not tasty, sushi is completely tasteless, rice is more than fillings, different than in the photos, they do not bring portions, one of the sushi was a mango gel, it was just disgusting, instead of making fresh mango puree, they mixed water with mango and added agar agar, they could not even knock it down enough for it to dissolve completely. It's up to you to eat here or not, but for €80 for two you can find a much better place to...

My recent dining experience at Sumo in Den Haag was truly exceptional, leaving me thoroughly impressed with both the culinary offerings and the overall ambiance of the restaurant. The standout feature was undeniably the top-notch quality of the food. Opting for the all-you-can-eat option allowed us to explore a diverse array of delectable sushi and other Japanese delicacies, each dish a testament to the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence.

While the all-you-can-eat option does come with timing rules, the staff's friendliness and helpfulness added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Their attentiveness ensured that despite the rules, we could navigate our dining experience seamlessly, making for a pleasant and stress-free evening.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the aesthetically pleasing decor, further enhanced the overall dining experience. The staff's dedication to providing excellent service contributed significantly to the positive vibes throughout our visit.

In conclusion, Sumo in Den Haag left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a delightful and satisfying culinary adventure. Whether you are a sushi enthusiast or just looking for a memorable dining experience, Sumo is undoubtedly a must-visit destination. I am already eagerly anticipating my next visit to indulge in the exceptional flavors and hospitality that Sumo...

Well, economic structure is already really a shame here for an "all you can eat", 2 hours maximum for eating, only 5 small dishes per person per round, with maximum 5 round. That is common in nederlands but really not an all you can eat for the rest of the world..

Secondly after we start eating during 20 min they come to you saying "it is mandatory to pay for 1 drink per person" even if we already went at other Sumo restaurant and never heard this.

Oh and also they refuse you tap water (illegal now in netherlands and also totally immoral) because they prefer to sell a 7 euros plastic bottle of water !!! Nice play ! Netherlands talks about ecology and bikes ??

That restaurant is about money and i recommend to avoid them. Hopefully for them my english or my dutch is not good enough to start really complaining. But if i was in my country, i would have start a f** storm in their restaurant.

Definetely NON...

It is located near the Haag central station but I found it on the maps. It is very beautifully decorated inside and so atmospheric. I’ve never tried before all you can eat format however it’s nice to do if you want to try different dishes in small bites. 26€ per person plus drinks (they have good tea by the way). Almost all food which I tried, I liked. My choice is gozo but without mayo, rolls and sushi(but without meat), salad and miso soup. However I personally don’t like spring rolls and meat with honey/sugar sauce, but if you like of course try it. There’s WiFi but no parking.

I usually avoid "all you can eat" buffet-type places, but this one is worth visiting - especially with a small group. It was like sushi-tapas, with a great selection of rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and lots of cooked options too. It was so much fun to orser with friends and taste a lot of dishes! The only drawback is that to get the "all you can eat", the entire table has to order that option. No exceptions. If your table is ready to eat, the 38€/person is quite reasonable for the food and the fun!
