Updated 30 June 2019: 3 star Service is marginally better, our order was taken relatively fast, and our server was attentive. The food was mediocre, just as in November last year. The spelt salad was lacklustre, and felt like eating a bowl of spelt. The dish could have used a lot more greens, and other fresh ingredients. The salmon bagel was clearly old, the bagel was dry and dense. The old cheese sandwich was okay.

We decided to visit here to see if our experiences the last few times were outliers, but unfortunately, this time only confirmed that this is a very mediocre restaurant. I do not recommend this anymore.

Updated 22 April 2019: 3 star Service has become abysmal. We arrived for lunch at 2.00pm, a waitress came by to ask for our drink order, after which we were promptly forgotten. We didn't receive the menu, and so we moved to a different table with menus. We waited another 20 minutes for someone to take our order, trying to catch the attention of the lone waitress who was busy behind the bar. We were unsuccessful - we couldn't even place an order. This is the second instance of less than ideal service here, and this time, the experience was downright terrible. Do not recommend this anymore.

Updated 9 November 2018: 4 star The experience this afternoon was a lot less impressive compared to last time - the ratings have been downgraded accordingly. Our lunch order of two sandwiches took an impressively long time. The quality of the old cheese sandwich (which we also had last time) was sub-par. The sandwich was dry, missed the attention to detail and flavour that had left us impressed the last time. Our server made a mistake with our order (we received a flat white instead of a double macchiato - not the same thing), but tried to serve it anyway saying they were pretty much the same thing. They obliged and corrected the mistake when we made it clear that it was not what we had ordered. This is still a good cafe, however, not as exceptional as the first time around.

Original review August 2018: 5 star Lovely cafe, wonderful cosy interiors, delightful menu, one can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the food, delicious! Very friendly staff. Would go here...

What can be said about the food and service at this establishment? I have no idea, since within 20 min of sitting down at a table within full view of the tall scruffy waiter who clearly only has the mental capacity to comprehend 2 syllable words, and the barkeep who’s vacant stare could rival that of a blind goldfish, neither came our way in any capacity. I IMAGINE that the scrambled eggs and the eggs Benedict my fiancée and I were going to order is good, but you’ll have to take other reviewers words on that. I sincerely hope the old couple who waited patiently for 5 minutes to be seated have their final will and testament sorted already, because they will be waiting a long time. I have NEVER in my whole life walked out of a restaurant before being approached by the staff, but I suppose there’s a first time for everything. I imagine however, this won’t be their first 1 star review. Go to Oker instead, were loving it here!

The quality is going down except for coffee.... I love the place since more than 4 years and also order coffee beans regularly at home. Recently for the last times always received ground instead of whole beans. And whennI call the reply is come to replace!!!!! You do not even send me the another correct order while you have your own delivery service! You do not even apologise by free bean bag! This happened like 3-4 times recently. If i have the time to come I would not have ordered a delivery order! Also pastel de natas were the best in town... today I received it with aloy of caramel at the bottom more sugary than a candy! Why to change your classic usual recepie!
