When I booked our table I specified that one of us was intolerant to gluten. When we got there, I ordered a dish that had a gluten free sign by it in the menu. Gnocchi arrived, started eating but thought it would be safer to double check with the waitress about the gluten and... no, the dish was not gluten free. According to her, the gluten free sign by the dish means you have to ask when ordering that you want the gluten free version and this explanation happens to be in a footnote in some part of the menu. Too bad for me, if I wanted a gluten free dish I should order something else, in this case, the gnocchi would become a penne. Actually, the only gluten free pasta they would have was a penne, despite the gluten free sign showing by other different types of pasta in the menu. Now on me to bear the nasty consequences of eating gluten. Besides that, pizza dough was not even close to good and toppings were tasteless. When I went to the counter to pay, at this point not surprised anymore, they charged everything that was ordered, didn't bother to offer not even a drink as a "sorry for what happened". To the list of...
Read moreFood is decent, but we could not all order what we wanted from the menu and service was waaay too slow.
Food is rather tasty, especially for what you come to expect from vegan food sometimes, but for some reason they could only make 5 pizzas and no more, so part of our group had to order something else even is "pizza" is literally on the name of the place.
Service is also extremely slow. We arrived and asked for a table, we sat outside as seating inside was limited, and it took them like 15 minutes just to bring us the menu. We ordered food and drinks, drinks took like 30 minutes to arrive and food about an hour. It was ridiculous.
I understand we were a rather large group and that the place was busy, but honestly, given how long it took them to bring the menu and then get our drinks (which are very low effort and not time-consuming things to do) I would say that was not the problem, and in any case, if because they are very busy the food will take longer it would be nice to get a heads up, instead of being forced to wait indefinitely.
In any case, not...
Read moreWe waited 90 minutes, and the kitchen hadn’t even started making our pizza. Meanwhile, guests who arrived later than us were served their pizzas first. It seemed our order was either skipped or served to another table that had ordered the same pizza, while our starter was served properly. We did ask for an update 60 minutes after ordering, but we received vague responses like “the kitchen is busy.” After that, we waited another 30 minutes, and in the end, we had to cancel the order. The staff apologised and admitted that this waiting time was not normal.
The staff looked friendly, and the starter (plant-based chicken tenders) was nice, but the overall experience was disappointing and frustrating. Perhaps it was because we were the only Asian guests in the restaurant and experienced a form of micro-aggression. Or perhaps the staff simply overlook some guests and tend to respond with generic excuses. Either way, it felt unfair and unacceptable.
We won’t be...
