This is my first time visiting a Pincho bar and i really enjoyed it! For a context, Pincho is the little food that you can see in the pictures (they are different from Tapas because they are served in a cocktail stick). The restaurant serve both warm and cold pinchos. There's there ways you can get your food:
1.For cold pinchos, you can go to the counter and pick the ones that you like; For warm pinchos, the waiters will walk around every 10 minutes or so with a different ones and ask if you want them; You can also order straight from the menu for a mix of cold pinchos where they just choose them for you. The restaurant also serve some really delicious tapas and you can order them from the menu.
Almost all the pinchos we ordered have some funky combination that we have never thought of. Every Pincho is a surprise! On a little side note, we have to order quite a lot of them to be full. For food only (including dessert), we prob spend around 30e per person. For dessert we get a pistachio coulant and a homemade Santiago cake. I prefer the pistachio coulant better but they are both great.
For those who like to try unique flavors, this is the place to visit! A little tip: Wait for the waiters to serve you warm pinchos (instead of ordering cold pinchos) because they are tastier (imo). Would definitely...
Read moreThe place itself is decorated nice and has a nice southerly atmosphere. We were there quite early in the evening so it wasn't busy at all, but that obviously didn't matter much for our experience. What bothered me a little is the fact that, even though we made a reservation and the restaurant was completely empty, the waiter upstairs refused to offer us a larger table and only gave us the option to sit at a very small (quite uncomfortable) bar-type stool table.... Which just felt weird, since we were literally the only people in the restaurant... Luckily, I was assertive enough to see if there was a better spot downstairs, and sure enough, we managed to get a normal table there. The waitress downstairs was very friendly and easygoing, so kudos to her. Now, the food. It wasn't bad at all, let me start by saying that. However, it wasn't sublime either. Some of the cold dishes were really tasty, full and rich of flavor, and others were just a little 'meh'. Same goes for the tapas... Some were very good (I loved the honey roasted courgette) and others were just alright I guess. All in all I'd give it a 3 star rating. Not bad, but not great either. Not enough to make me want to go back unfortunately, but still an enjoyable...
Read moreThe food was delicious, but unfortunately we had to wait for 2 tapas dishes for over an hour....We asked several times after half an hour and were assured the dishes were coming....but then we had to wait for another half an hour. Also, the pinchos that came by during that hour were already finished once they came to our table...I would suggest not always serve these pinchos at the beginning of the restaurant, but also start outside on the deck. Because we also wanted dessert we ordered that after 45mins of waiting and informed that we did not want the dessert at the same of the last dishes, but then it did come all together ending up in eating melted ice and cold churros....It is a shame, the extended waiting did ruin the diner experience. We offered free coffee for the extensive waiting, but we declined because we did not want to wait any longer. We did get compensated and were offered not to pay for the bread, but then again we were charged for an additional two drinks we did not have....(this...
