Randomly stumbled upon this place while walking. The wine selection was alright, nothing to rave about. Seems like they have a new menu, I think the chef did a nice job. We tried the escargots - they were not stingy with number of escargots which was nice. I also enjoyed the steak tartare. Steak was cooked medium rare as requested. And the seafood stew was nice for a cold day. We were not able to have dessert as the kitchen closed fairly early, we saw the chef run off. Not sure if it was a one time thing. One of the most xenophobic experiences I’ve ever had in my life. At the entrance, a bald man asked for our IDs, and after checking our nationality, his expression turned into one of the most disgusted faces I’ve ever seen. He began interrogating us, asking why we were there, as if being Polish made us out of place. It wasn’t just his comments about us not speaking Dutch or the invasive questions about whether we worked there.
