RUN AWAY !! Worst place in Utrecht

What a horrific experience: We sat at table 24 on Friday night, ordered spareribs, kabeljau and chicken sate. The spareribs tasted absolutely awful, kind of like a metallic taste. All three of us tried the spareribs and came to the same result. The chicken sate must have been the worst sate I have ever eaten. I do understand it is hard to make it taste like in Thailand, however, calling this appaling paste a peanut sauce is disgraceful. The texture gave away that it had been reheated! The service was slow, asking for condiments which got delivered to the table by the end of the meal and still appeared on the bill. The best the thing was when the light was dimmed to a minimum halfway through our meal so my 70-year old father could not even see what he had on the plate. We asked the waitresses and waiter a few times to please put the lights back on but didn't more than a shoulder shrug. When we asked for the bill, the waitress asked how the food was, which I answered honestly and told her about the sate and ribs while pointing at the half full plates. Instead of offering a solution, the waitress did not seem bothered at all and walked off with our money. I’ve worked many years in Hospitality, and sincere suggestions from customers are worth gold. The location is good, the food is alright but nothing spectacular, but the service is far from acceptable. I was in the place with a friend on a Friday night, it was pretty busy but with a good atmosphere. After about 20 seconds a waitress spilled a tray spilled filled with drinks onto me and my friend. Amongst other alcoholic beverages, I had received red wine on my white shirt. No apologies, no reconciliatory drink or anything which could have made us feel less upset. Thankfully I could wash out the red wine out of the shirt. My friend's coat probably still smells like he had been sleeping under a bridge with a bottle of cheap wine. One of the waiters did kind of look like he was about to apologize on behalf of his colleague, but not such luck. He didn't really seemed to care much at all, other than cleaning the floor. Later on I ordered 2 beers with him had no problems accepting my money. In that situation, I would have given those on the house (yes, I've been working in gastronomy for years).I've been to the place several times now and probably will continue to go, since it's got a good vibe. We came cross this restaurant on my friend's birthday. It was very bab quality of food and slow service. We ordered a medium angus burger. The first time it came super chewy and fully cooked. The taste was super peppery. We talked to the waitress, at the same time, we saw the mice running around the table corner. Super shocked but the waitress behaved normal and explained that mice in the restaurant is very normal which I dont believe so. The second time, burger came super raw. The inside shows the meat still has the lengthy shape of the minced beef that you got from the supermarket. The oninion was raw. We left the burger on the side and did not enjoy that at all. Only the fries was good. However, the burger worths 17 euro and it does not worth the price. The restaurant manager gave us the bill and we talked through this issue. He left the 17 euro from our bill. And we pay for the drink only. Nice act! But we probably not...
