Having enjoyed good food from other Salsa Shops located in Amsterdam, I decided to visit this one. Sadly, I was disappointed by the quality delivered by this particular establishment. The service was slow, even though there were not many people in line before me I still had to wait around 10 minutes before it was my turn. Once it was my turn it seemed a couple of main ingredients for the burrito were not available, but still I was able to make a burrito that I thought looked nice. Then I started eating it, it turned out a lot of the ingredients that should've been warm were cold. Besides from that, it was very very soggy because of some liquid. Together with sauce I chose this burrito became a wet lukewarm bulge of food overwhelmed by sourness. This was especially disappointing because of my previous experiences with Salsa Shop. The staff is always very friendly and the food is great, however at some point the decision was made to charge 2 Euro's extra for guacamole, Because of my lactose intolerance I can't eat cheese or sour cream, which leaves me with a burrito with rice, beans, veggies, corn, Pico, lettuce and salsa.
I understand inflation is a reason for the price increase but to pay €11.95 for a single burrito and especially if you eat a veggie burrito or €13.95 if you want to get guac, which again used to be free for veggie burrito's is absurd.
I really hope at least guac will be free of charge for veggie burrito's or some change is made because despite the food being great its pretty hard justifying paying a steep €13,95...

I asked for a non-spicy sauce but turn out she gave me a spicy one. And I only know it when I’m eating it. It’s also impossible to change it as I ordered it as a takeaway. I should avoid spicy food at the moment due to health problems so it’s a bit annoying.
Also I find it nicer if the sign can tell clearly if there’s vegan meat in the chilli sin carne because I asked the waitress and she seemed not able to comprehend my question.
Also I find the sign a bit unclear about the extra costs of the toppings, until now I still don’t get it if it’s only the guacamole that would cost extra €2.
The taste is...
