Kitchen Bar Danel — Restaurant in Utrecht

So we made a reservation since we wanted to be close to the concert we planned to go to but also since the marketing pictures of food and surrounding have been splendid! Well, what a disappointment in many facets! We ordered the Angus Beef Burger at 25€. Angus Beef is best tasty and the crown of Burger Patties in the world. Not here at Kitchen Bar Danel. The burger was dry, looked like from a meet press machine and grayish in color. Flat taste and dry leave of salad and the cheese also dry and ugly. The pickle however did good on its own. The fries over-salted and likewise without a positive note of taste. The fries sauce, a holandais kind of cream sauce was ok. The ice in the coke was so bad tasting like clorid that the good Pepsi tasted like a cleaning detergent. Sorry a loss of money and time. Having a birthday during corona times is not easy when you want to celebrate while keeping the regulations and measurements in regards. After having a proper dinner elsewhere, we ended up looking for a place for a drink with 13 people. Danel made it possible for us as their terrace was empty. They quickly arranged the seats for us so we could sit one and a half meter apart from each other while still facing each other. And so we ended up having the terrace to ourselves for two hours. Big no-no! 2 Stars for employees that kept their calm, but thats it. If you claim to be a perfect spot to grab a bite before a concert in TivoliVredenburg, and you're not able to a)serve wine together with the food, b) deliver desserts in time, and c) handle paying the check in a normal timeframe, then something is seriously wrong. Especially on a Sunday night. And especially when the quality of the food is grocery-store Ikea level. I wouldn't advice people to go here, unless you have time and money to spend.
