Seven of us visited Zaanse Schans from the States, and we were endlessly happy to have crossed the Zaan River to Chocolaterie De Cacaoboom. The owner (I believe her name is Annika) took us under her wing when we were slightly lost and tired. She pointed us to the best of the Belgian chocolates, allowed us to fill up our water bottles, and we even got to strum her guitar as we relaxed in the shop.
