If I can I will give a zero start but google doesnt have that option.

They ARE NOT FAMILY friendly. We can tell they dont know about kids or how to treat families with kids.

Our kids brought their YETI bottle which they used everywhere. We never had issues in any restauran around Europe and they asked us to put them away. They sent the bartender to tell us we cant bring out our own drinks. We explained it was just water and even showed him it was just water. We had ordered beer and ice tea for us. He returned to tell us his boss still dont like people bringing water from outside. They offered us tap water instead. We accepted since at this point we were just waiting for our food. They waitress brought the pizza and never showed up again until it was time to leave. So we didnt have any plates or napkins to eat our pizza. Lucky us we have wipes. During the whole time we felt uncomfortable and frustrated with the must dummy thing which is you cant bring your own filtered water for your kids and receiving a...

Dog owners are better advised to find another place for dining.

Despite the place having a lovely local small restaurant charm, as a dog owner, I cannot recommend this place. I entered with 2 friends, each one of us with their dog. One of our dogs barked (not so loudly) a couple of times during the first 10 minutes we were there. As we were ordering the food, the staff told us that if that continues, it would be best if we found another restaurant. They were polite, but nonetheless, the message was clear. Naturally and sadly, we did not feel comfortable for one minute after that warning and left sooner than originally planned (even though our dogs were not causing any noise other than a couple of barks in total the whole 30 min we were there).

If your dog makes any kind of noise, no matter how frequent or loud, consider other places would be my strong suggestion.

The truffles were nice, and the service was friendly, too, if we put aside the warning / invitation to leave. That's why the...

It started out well because one waitress gave us a table, but just before we sat down another waitress told us we can’t sit there and told us to sit somewhere else so we sat at another table and then we just told us we can’t sit there because we were too small of a group and told us we had to sit outside on another table which we did. Not a waitress tortoise we cannot sit there because it was reserved and we had to get up and move basically two more times. This was the worst part of our experience here. Food wise the hamburger was good, but I really don’t think it was 100% beef because it was kind of soft so it did have filler of some sort of thing but it was tasty anyway. The fries were good. Asparagus soup did not taste like asparagus very much at all. My husband had to ask me what kind of soup is this and when I told him what it was, he said he couldn’t taste it. The pizza was decent. The atmosphere itself was...

After visiting Zaanse Schans windmill village, we were looking for a nearby restaurant for a late lunch and decided to stop by this place because it had good Google reviews. The two of us ordered one pizza and one dish that was described as traditional Dutch food, but the portions were larger than expected, so we left about half of it. The food itself wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t say we received particularly good service either. When it came time to pay, however, the server handed us the bill with “thank you” written on it and rather boldly demanded a tip. When I refused, she tore the bill in front of me, which was both absurd and shocking. Her rudeness was the perfect answer to why tipping should never be taken for granted. At a place where the staff have such a poor attitude toward service, the quality of the food also becomes questionable.

We came as tourists with our visitors. My expectations were low. We were welcomed with smiles and served promptly. I opted for a vegan combinatie which included an onion soup, bread with croquette and bread with a vegan spread and salad. They had a nice spread of beers. I opted for a tripel piek, which is blond and refreshing. Nice to discover a new beer. I was very positively surprised and highily recommend the Wolfsend.

It was so delicious. We had the Dutch combination which included mustard soup, which we were unsure about but ended up being absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was calm the service was attentive. The waitress was very nice. I actually really liked everything I ate - the flavors were so rich and delicious. I might recommend splitting the Dutch combo if you’re not super hungry. Prices were very very reasonable.
