Dopo una visita al paese dei mulini di Zaanse Schans in una giornata radiosa, attirati dalla fama del formaggio olandese, abbiamo deciso di acquistare qualche prodotto. Siamo entrati nel piccolo museo con la possibilità di seguirne la storia, dalle origini, all'allevamento, alla produzione casearia attraverso brochure in italiano e un percorso rievocativo. Concluso il percorso si arriva nel negozio dove si ha la possibilità di gustare gratuitamente i formaggi tramite piccoli assaggi offerti dai dipendenti del negozio, vestiti con gli abiti tradizionali olandesi. Formaggi molto buoni! Tuttavia (se volete risparmiare), vi consiglio vivamente di partecipare agli assaggi, scegliere quale formaggio volete acquistare e, dopodiché comprarlo da un'altra parte perché qui i prezzi sono molto alti. Una singola formaggetta acquistata qui vi viene 14,00 €, mentre se andate in qualunque supermercato trovate le stesse formaggette incartate con questo marchio di fabbrica ad almeno 4,00 €di meno. Il negozio vi propone, alternativamente al singolo acquisto delle confezioni con tre formaggette dove una è classica e due sono "alterate", quindi potreste avere pesto e aglio. Noi abbiamo preferito acquistarle singolarmente perché su tre ce ne interessava una e, dal momento che ci sono davvero tantissime varianti, ce ne interessavano altre, quindi siamo finiti a spendere quasi 50 €, quando poi ci siamo accorti che appunto avremmo potuto spendere molto meno.
