McDonald's Papatoetoe — Restaurant in Ōtara-Papatoetoe

On 20/05/2023, 10:52am (drive thru) I ordered hot chocolate with other foods. Frist they given me hot chocolate and were waiting for rest of the meal to come. My 9 year old had couple of sips of hot chocolate and said this taste like WATER, its not normal like usual. I tried it and yes, i did taste watery. Young guy came to the window who was serving us, i told him about this hot drink and he replied this what we give to all customers and i said no given me another one. At front of me he and other young open that hot chocolate machine there was no chocolate in it, not at all. Took 2 staff to fill that machine and all these process happened front of me. When he was serving my drink, I brought to his attention, that why my drink was taste less coz of McDonalds NEGLIGENT. when I was say this this person shut the window for some seconds and reopen it again, and asked me weather i want my drink or not. This brings the attention the procedure and code of conduct didn't carried out what MCDONALDS should be doing. I wouldnt recommend this mc donalds the indian manager is useless and customer service is not so great I ordered a triple cheese burger combo large at 12 am friday night to go home and realize I just brought a large chips and drink but my burger was down graded to a cheese burger I went in this morning to lay a complaint and the manager got so defensive like he didnt want to file my complaint all I was saying I want to lay a complaint and hes saying you got what you payed for. Yes I may have payed for it but I didnt order it and that little thing felt so hard to get across to him. So now I want to lay a complaint against the manager the fact he wouldnt lay my complaint is the reason I'll call it obstruction to the public making me feel like I shouldn't complain cause i got what i payed for BUT THE FACT IS I DIDNT ORDER THAT. Not great service, very disappointing today, didn’t like the afternoon rush with only one service counter open !! Suddenly a staff member yelled out from back to say “use the kiosk” - suddenly no one on counter to take orders! 7 people in queue to order and 3 people waiting for their order !!! Perhaps more staff could have assisted with taking orders - very rudely managed and spoken ! After the long wait for my order I received chips that was cold and not my complete order, I had to return back to get my missing items also complained about the cold chips - unfortunately the manager was serving and took the complain - this was treated just like a “ hassle” - with a body language of “here take your chips and go “ ( no whatsoever acknowledgement at all ) $4.30 for large chips was just not worth it !!!
