I don't have the heart to leave you anything other than 5 stars - but you lost customers today. I came with my family to sit and have drinks, but there was a local Mt Eden guy (with the long white beard) just sitting at the outside table doing his business on his cell phone without ordering or drinking anything. The staff told me he had been there a long time without ordering. We can only sit outside because we're immunocompromised. We asked staff if they could maybe speak to him, but they ignored that. I understand if your staff is intimidated by him. But your shop is small, you've only got one outdoor table, and your tea is incredible. So you should definitely be sorting out people who occupy your space for ages without buying anything. We went down the block, had a sad inferior tea, walked back by and he was STILL there.. still with nothing on the table. Your patrons are counting on you to control this behaviour from inconsiderate people like this. Otherwise we can't visit your shop. It takes a lot for us to go out - it's not easy with a baby. So when this happened it was quite...
Read moreAbsolutely love this book and tea shop! They have such a HUMUNGOUS variety of teas to choose from and a little multi-level caddy where you can smell the tea options first to help you choose one better. They also sell lots of little tea paraphernalia. The reasons I put 4 stars is because I just wish they would have more variety in the books they sell - they're all trashy romance novels 😂 I have no idea why. Maybe the owner is obsessed with trashy romance novels or something. But that's literally all they have. Also some of the food they offer is a bit on the dear side and lastly the chairs aren't very cozy for a tea shop. They could have done a lot more with the chairs - but kitchy pillows on them or have a couple of bean bags instead of chairs on offer. Just because a tea shop is meant to be a relaxing environment. But to be fair the shop is rather small so there's not a lot of room for bean...
Read moreBest tea boutique in Auckland. An enormous range of black, green, white and other specialty teas in leaf and bags along with a good collection of pots and accessories. Of course you can drink in - excellent macha latte and even barista coffee! Limited cabinet food. Has the full range of Harney's in leaf and tea bags (try "Paris" if you like a rich, slightly fruity black tea - the only tea to have challenged my Earl Grey addiction in 30 years). Excellent for gifts and exploring the wide world of tea. And there's always a little sample of something new to try tucked in your...
