Glowing review ahead! We've just had a wedding celebration held at the Garden Shed over the weekend. For context, we needed a more fluid flow venue to accomodate 130 guests including 20 kids and dogs, a photobooth (Selfie Central) and an acoustic singer (Jimmy Earle). Communication- From reaching out to planning, and actual execution on the night was superb. They were accommodating, had great suggestions and reassuring about how they were going to make the event possible Venue- Parking may be an issue but its still possible to find one on street or within the neighbourhood. Pet friendly in the Courtyard (which is the heart of why we chose TGS), central and accessible with a rustic look. We had very minimal decor to appreciate TGS' original setup. Food - Simple but delicious. In our presence we had a few chefs that did not complain but praised the kitchen team for the quality of the food. TGS had enough variation to accomodate for everyone's preferences including the vegetarians and vegans. Personal favourite was the Salmon, Halloumi fries and Broccolini. We had their Rump steak, Lamb Carvery, Fried Chicken + Fries, Calamari, Broccolini, Pear and Halloumi Salad, Halloumi Fries, Gouda cheese Croquettes, Salmon and Gouda Cheese Croquettes. Service- They were extremely respectful and attentive to not stress the bride out on the night, secretly made me my favourite cocktail and handed it to me when i needed it. They went around to make sure everyone was looked after. Very nice staff with such professionalism. Atmosphere - warm and friendly. Rustic and perfect for a winter night. Surprisingly, they cranked up the heaters so much that you wouldn't even remember it's a cold winter night outside. All of our guests had to remove their coats Would I recommend? YES. Would I have another event here? ABSOLUTELY. My only regret was I did not have the time and opportunity to taste all the food we have ordered for the guests. Would need to come back with the husband to appreciate the food in our own time. Thank you The Garden Shed! I tried to remember the staff' name on shift but had too many whiskey sours to remember. I would definitely recognize everyone's faces. See you real soon!

We had a small, casual and intimate Wedding ceremony & Reception at The Garden Shed. First off the venue itself is lovely, full of garden greenery and great lighting. We didn't need much extra to decorate! which was perfect. Food is delicious and very filling and also fancy enough for a wedding sit down dinner. Drink selection (especially the cocktails) was awesome. The staff were very welcoming, caring and always there to cater to any of our needs. They tell you how much of your bar tab is left over throughout the night which is helpful (some guests drink more than others). Jessica the events manager & coordinator is great! always there to answer any questions anytime of the day via text, call and email, when is comes to preparation. Katheryn, Calvin & Sam were serving us throughout night who were outstanding and work very hard! Pay rises should be considered for all staff mentioned here ;) For a wedding services I'd give them a 4.75/5 there could have been a few things tweaked. This is stuff I'd usually not care about if it was a birthday party, but with weddings I tend to be a little more particular. Although overall we all had a magical afternoon and evening :) I would still recommend these guys for small weddings and of course any other kind of small-medium event. Any constructed feedback (small things) has been given back to them for future events :) Thank you all that made this possible and for allowing us to postpone due to covid-19. You made our day special and memorable. We'll be back for our one year anniversary, if not earlier! P.S this was typed out by Mrs Young

Came here after hearing good things about this place. We didn't book so there was a lot of people and we had to sit outside which we understood. However as we sat, we saw a vacant table inside so I went to ask a staff to see if we could switch inside as the tables outside are not that nice and is wobbly. The staff quickly dismissed us and said no as "all tables inside was reserved". Few minutes later I went and ask again and looks like the owner was the whom I spoke to this time. He was very good, definitely made the experience from bad to good. He said we could and then the same guy came and said ok "we can move you in". Honestly if it weren't for the owner I would have given this place bad review before even trying the food. So after being sat inside, it was way more comfortable, we start to order. We decided to order more now than what we initially was going to order outside as outside was just way too uncomfortable, they need to fix the stools and tables outside as it is too high and unstable. So we got the breakfast board and their burger. Both of these was excellently cooked, the burger was juicy and the fries was nice and the right crisp level. The breakfast board was also good, chorizo was nice and the rosti was good. Overall they do quite decent food here. Definitely will come back and will book beforehand, and if there aren't any tables inside, I would then go somewhere else. The ambiance inside is nice and cosy.

I really wish I could opt for ZERO STAR RATING! After a terrible birthday dinner celebration hosted at The Garden Shed, we were invited back with a gifted $100 voucher to rectify our bad experience. Open to the idea of “it must have just been a bad night in business” we came in eager to spend. To our disappointment, this was not the case.

To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin. THE FOOD WAS STALE & COLD When we asked for a fresh batch of hot chips, the American hostess did not hesitate to throw her waiter under the bus by telling us he didn’t put a table number on the fries and that’s why they were just sitting there and they didn’t know where it needed to go (nor did they ask anyone) then about 5mins later, she brought over another bowl and proceeded to tell us that SHE STOLE IT FROM ANOTHER TABLE!

We were stuck still waiting for food for roughly an hour which we ended up cancelling and thought we’d cut more loses and end the night here. When it came to paying the bill, the waitress was extremely rude. First of all, her Manager (which I’m assuming was the American lady) was no help to her so she moved us to another till and whispered under her breath that we couldn’t split the bill - that was fine. But then I was overcharged after I corrected her about the bill multiple times and when it came to refunding me they did not have a merchant card, nor did they have a cash till to proceed with the refund. I tried to help her out and she put her hand in my face and grunted, then walked off towards her manager, and while we waited for about 5mins for them to refund me, I walked back into the restaurant and saw both women having a good old yarn with other customers. I was so appalled by this and just wanted to leave so I asked her what was happening and the two of them walked off frazzled, went around the kitchen and bar staff asking if they had any money in their wallets to pay me back.

I’m disgusted by the experience we had lastnight. & that’s two out of two that we’ve had such an awful time at The Garden Shed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE - it’s definitely not worth your time!

Due to a lack of management and consistency in staffing, it was obvious they were overwhelmed and did not know how to conduct themselves in an appropriate and professional manner. Thankyou to Calvin (I think that’s your name - tall Asian guy with the glasses) our first waiter who is the only good thing that came out of that place. And that purely just came down to his service. As for everyone else there… hospitality...

A Hidden Gem That Brought My “Baby in Bloom” baby shower vision to Life

When I began searching for the perfect venue for my baby shower, I had one thing in mind — I wanted a place that felt like a whimsical, indoor garden. A space that felt intimate, dreamy, and a little magical — just like the “Baby in Bloom” theme I had spent months planning. The moment I discovered The Garden Shed, my search ended. It was exactly what I had imagined — and more.

This venue is an absolute treasure for anyone looking to host a beautifully intimate function. The ambience is unmatched — lush greenery, soft natural light, and a cozy, layout that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairytale.

But the true highlight? The team behind it all.

From the first meeting, Nixon, who leads the operations at The Garden Shed, completely understood me — not just my aesthetic vision, but also my style of planning. I’m someone who pays attention to every little detail, and Nixon welcomed that with open arms. He patiently walked me through every element, every tiny request, and made sure nothing was overlooked. His confident approach gave me complete peace of mind.

On the big day, I didn’t need to lift a finger or check on anything — Nixon's incredible team had everything under control. The execution was flawless. From setup to timing to coordination with my other vendors, it all flowed seamlessly — I honestly felt like they read my mind and brought my Pinterest board to life.

A very special shout out to the chef, Vikrant, who delivered an absolute culinary masterpiece. The food was exceptional — flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. My guests were raving about the menu for days after the event, and several of them asked me who the chef was!

It’s rare to find a venue that’s not only stunning in appearance but also supported by such a dedicated and professional team. If you’re planning a special occasion and want it to be as stress-free as it is beautiful, The Garden Shed is the place. I couldn’t have dreamt of a better setting to celebrate such a special milestone in my life.

Thank you to Nixon, Vikrant, and the entire team — you gave me memories I’ll...
