Francesca's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

I had an unfairly bad customer service, which made me very disappointed. It all started when the chef tried to charge me 28.5 for a 27.5 pizza. Not much, but why? After I pointed that out, he tried to bullshit me saying it is paywave surcharge, despite me paying debit & inserted. He promptly promised me a cash refund, but probably got angry with my "pettiness". He made me wait extra 5-7 minutes for my pizza (it was just sitting boxed in his prep area). He explained it: "the other guy came before you, so I couldn't release your pizza earlier" (mind blown). He then painstakingly counted 10x10c coins and gave me. Money is money but it did look like a further attempt to humiliate me.

The pizza turned out average with a lot of soot on the bottom.

On top of it, the wait was 35 minutes instead of "good 10".

Alas, I can not recommend...

Look - the pizza was good, the pasta was okay. Nice sauce but overcooked pasta. I chose the ravioli. The wait and service complicate this - while I waited 30 minutes for my pasta (and was quoted at 10-15...), I saw the chef mess up three seperate orders. In a row. The wait for a pizza was 1hr+.

Their service is atrocious - and it's a shame because this is a real simple fix. The restaurant needs an extra hand to man the cashier and take calls, or help chef make pizza. He needs a better, more efficient system for assembling the pizzas. Otherwise the wait for pizza on a Friday evening will remain 1hr, and chef will keep blundering.

The food is nice enough. Chef is a funny guy and has good banter. The cashier lady was lovely. Overall very...

Waited for over 90minutes for two pizzas and saw people get their single pizza after waiting 20minutes. Not sure what system they have, because the guys behind the counter was writing in a pad, then writing in chalk and then the guy making the pizzas was just asking people waiting if they only needed one pizza and then would make it on the spot.

Seems like they were short staffed. They also wouldn't let you prepay for your pizza once ordering or give you a ticket with the number/time on it...I guess because that way people can walk away after waiting two hours.

They literally had customers that were waiting over an hour folding boxes for them....
