The food is tasty, but their communication around delivery times is lacking. I placed an order after 12pm without knowing it wouldn't arrive until the second working day. This was disappointing because I ordered the meals to support a sick friend until I could visit. When I contacted customer service, they referred me to their FAQs, which confirmed the delivery policy. They need to notify customers at the time of placing the order.

I ordered on Tuesday 25 June at 8.30pm, however on placing the order it said it would be delivered on Wednesday 26 June no mention of Thursday 27 June until the confirmation email was received. Hence, why I proceeded with the order. The “confusion” was only caused as a result of your website not confirming the date at the time. Pretty disappointed. Bought some meals to make life easier after surgery on my broken wrist. Followed cottage pie directions, was still frozen. Pappardelle was watery as hell with barely any meat. Tofu curry has barely any green sauce, it’s basically rice with bland chunks of tofu. Nothing like the pic on the box.

Someone previously said hospital food was better and sadly I have to agree.

I’m throwing the rest out, recovery is bad enough without bleh food.

Editing to say… I’ve never had issues with heat and eat meals from other brands. And I cooked the cottage pie in my oven, not the microwave. As for the papardelle, microwave cooking was the only instruction, if a standard microwave doesn’t cook it sufficiently “hot” it’s hardly fit for purpose.

Cooking method also doesn’t excuse the lack of key ingredients like meat and sauce.

I have purchased JUK meals in the past and saw there was a Christmas meal available. We decided to give it a go this year and have absolutely no regrets! Everything was preprepared and just had to be put in the oven while we sat around and chatted, making this the least stressful Christmas ever. The food was exquisite!! And so much leftover. Delivery was well communicated and reliable and I loved the Christmas ribbon wrapped around the box of extras. Excellent value for money and absolutely delicious....
