McDonald's Rotorua Fairy Springs — Restaurant in Bay of Plenty

Service was terrible. On a Sunday morning around 9.30am I went through the drive thru and ordered a coffee which they got wrong. Ok so mistakes happen, totally understand and so I parked up and went inside to get them to fix it. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes (and I was the only person standing there) and was totally and completely ignored by the staff. They definitely saw me because I was intentionally trying to make eye contact with someone and when I did they quickly looked away. Not even an acknowledgement like "we'll be with you in a minute" or anything, just blatantly ignored. I had to go to the McCafe counter, lean over the counter itself and interrupt the young ladies who were flat out making coffee. They apologised and immediately remade my drink. Not sure what happened here at maccers at Fairy Springs but maybe being really busy at the drive through they missed an item on my order. Waited in the carpark for them to bring the order then after discovering the missed item went in to get the rest of my order. They gave me what I thought was my order but found when I got back in to the car they had given me a bacon and egg McMuffin instead of a Sausage McMuffin. I then had to go back in and ask again for what I ordered. However, not something that normally happens and maybe with young new staff it did, but If I'm in a hurry i would not be happy having to wait for this to be sorted. 2 out of 5 stars for your effort and a little bit of grace...

This McDonald's is by far the best I have been to in my life... which is a tad sad! But, the fillet o fish we both got, one without tartare sauce as ordered, were both the freshest and the hottest we have ever had. The burgers and the chips were almost too hot to eat! Perfect! On top of that, the "Kiwi Burger" I ordered looked EXACTLY like the photo on the huge roadside banner on the way to Tauranga from the Mount. And it tasted delish. All of it beats the crap they have served me all over Australia for the last 30 plus years, of which none of the burgers look anything like the photos on their pathetic adverts. WAKE...
