Coriander's Rolleston — Restaurant in Canterbury

If I could give 2.7 stars I would but this system only allows full stars and 3 stars are far from deserved.

I have dined at this establishment on a number of occasions in the past and the meals have always been enjoyable 4+/5 stars, this lead to ordering online on occasion, the online orders are far far less consistent ( bearing in mind I have not dined in store in some time so perhaps they have fallen all round, for which I cannot comment on, my rating is based on online orders alone within the last 2 months or so, which have been bad enough to warrant a review.) order mild and don't be surprised if you receive something medium +, confirmed when returning home to find most containers with their hotness stated but some without the heat/spice written on the container at all, and what you ordered to be far spicier than when you had it on previous occasions ( and yes I confirmed with my email receipt that I ordered mild ).

I let this slide on several occasions as the meal was still OK ( not nearly as nice as it would have been had they gotten the order correct mind you ), but on my previous order I find it to lack any taste whatsoever outside of the cream added, definitely not worth the price in anyway and worse than any supermarket sauce I have tried in the past ( perhaps they were getting rid of the dregs from a previous nights batch? ) ..... I am not sure what transpires at this establishment but I hope your orders are far more consistent than mine have been, I will likely personally never order from this Rolleston establishment again, best of luck with...

We recently went to corianders. Used to be our regular Indian restaurant but the service was becoming erratic so started going somewhere else. Tried again new years eve. The waitress looked like she would rather be any where but there. Thoroughly miserable. Not one smile and inattentive. Could not answer any questions about the menu. My daughter was served a dish she never ordered and by the time she got her food we had eaten and we had finished our drinks. To offer a complimentary drink to compensate would have been a nice gesture to rectify this as we just had to sit waiting while she ate it. No one asked if our main dish was ok. There were not many people there at the time so plenty of time to do that. There is a lot of competition now in Rolleston so you need to up your game with the customer service...

Didn't dine in, ordered takeaways online, really gutted about price due to only having 7 overcooked prawns in my butter prawn, even worse is they forgot to make my butter prawn and cooked it up in less then two minutes..... must be pre made, for 29$ I'd expect it fresh. Not the worst butter chicken I've had but defiantly not as flavourful, partner is also upset about the flavorless butterchicken version of his, it taste almost sour and that's it sadly, very disappointed with food but staff were nice. I am so gutted I didn't see the reviews first as everyone else has the same issue, flavorless dry meals, too hungry to go back into rolleston as love out west melton ways otherwise would be getting my money back right now! Dear corianders team, start listening to the complaints, you are ripping off the people...
