Dubba Dubba Bush Inn — Restaurant in Christchurch

Went in for some food the other day, looked online at prices before and was happy with $15.90 for a morrito bowl. When I got there the prices aren’t actually the same and it was $17.90. Decided to still get it, when I got to the cash register and found it was actually $18.90 because the man serving automatically did a large instead of regular and when I questioned it he said “well you didn’t ask for a regular” when really a regular should be assumed unless stated the customer wants a large. He was rude, and didn’t apologised just blamed me and said “it’s only a dollar more” even though that wasn’t the point and I wasn’t going to eat it all so why should I pay more? Was very unhelpful and didn’t offer any solution, when I left I checked my bank statement and found that I was charged $19.30 so went back to enquire and it was because of gst. So the prices in the board in shop are not only incorrect from online but also don’t include gst? Which I’m pretty sure is illegal in Nz. Overall unhappy with my experience here and won’t...

This Moroccan grill was such a great find. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff were genuinely kind — it felt like stepping into someone’s home rather than just a restaurant.

The food I tried was absolutely delicious — full of rich, well-balanced flavours that tasted fresh and homemade. There’s a real sense of care in how everything is prepared, with just enough creativity to make it feel special without losing that traditional, comforting touch.

Reservation process and food choice flexibility was smooth and simple. I rang up, shared my vision, we arranged time, date and space requirements and common-sense rules few days ahead. On the day staff supported us just the right amount, there when we needed them but no gathering otherwise.

VERY HAPPY to support a LOCAL BUSSINES and help them thrive as they do offer some outstanding flavors that people are simply to 'chicken' to try chicken in a different flavor.... but all our guests were amazed too.
