Milieu Cafe — Restaurant in Christchurch

I recently visited your café for the first time, and I genuinely loved the coffee and the chicken wrap—amazing food and great quality!

However, I wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience. I was with a friend, and we were there to have an important conversation. While placing our order at the front desk, I noticed some uncomfortable eye gestures and body language from the staff directed at each other, which came across as quite judgmental. Both my friend and I felt really uncomfortable as a result.

I understand that the staff member may have been new or might have had an off moment—this isn’t meant as a complaint against any individual. I just believe that professionalism and positive body language are really important, as they are also a form of communication and can make a big difference in how welcomed customers feel.

Four of us had brunch at Milieu. We spent a lot of time chatting when we first sat down, with staff not hurrying us in waiting until we were ready to order. We did not feel rushed. The coffee tasted good. Each of us enjoyed our different choices, poached eggs, porridge, vegetarian Mileau breakfast + toast. Portion sizes were ample and in fact I could not quite finish my porridge. Pricing was very competitive with the cost of four breakfasts & 4 x coffees totalling only $55.73! Awesome experience, there is an outside eating area. It's a very nice quiet, pleasant place to grab a bite or dine in. Price is med to expensive but very worth the money, in my opinion. Parking yes plenty of parking, but this is a very popular cafe and parking can be a problem. If your in or around Addington Stadium, Milieu Cafe is just up the road and is well worth a visit. P.S. Wheelchair access is limited to the outside dinning area. I didn't see any parks reserved for wheelchair access. There might be, I just didn't see any during any our visits..
