Awesome little place. As I drove past all the storage units I felt a little out of place and started wondering if this was the right area. But there it was, a storage shed converted into a quaint little coffee shop. As I walked in it felt quite nostalgic, soft music played via record and the smell of freshly ground coffee filled the air. I was greeted warmly and prompt - the two things I like when ordering out. Lovely wee coffee spot. Hard to find if you don't know where it is - no signage (not sure why - perhaps they are not encouraging foot / retail traffic as it's a side of their roastery location). To start this review I'd like to add, I love coffee so much that the places I can get good coffee are not so common. That being said, driving from far north to Gisborne I stopped once for coffee where I know is top class. Now I'm not saying this lightly but far East Coffee has now joined my list of 4 top coffee...
