I’m a huge burger guy—burgers are my absolute favorite, and I’ve tried them all over Wairarapa. But the 100% Beef Patty Burger at Aperitif? Hands down, it’s the best I’ve eaten in the region so far. The beef was juicy and cooked just right, with this amazing smoky bacon mayo. The lettuce and pickles were super fresh and crunchy, the cheddar was perfectly melty, and the beetroot added a cool, sweet twist that made every bite pop.

The bun held it all together without overpowering the flavors, and the fries? Golden, crispy, and seasoned well. Every ingredient felt fresh and thoughtfully balanced. If you're a great lunch at a very reasonable price, this is the place for you. Weekday lunch options for $20. I had a burger with chips, and these have to be some of the best chips around. The burger was top quality and so very tasty. My food was accompanied by a refreshing Aperol Spritz. Our 2 corgis were welcomed along with us, and there were other dogs there too.
