I have never left any negative comments for any restaurants before, even when the food was not tasty. But this time it really touched my bottom line.
We ordered ramen and korean glass noodle. The ramen was just ok, not good not bad. But the glass noodle was as hard as strings, apparently not cooked enough and was so hard to chew. So I kindly asked them to recook it, politely. The female waiter was very friendly and delivered the grass noodle to the male chef immediately.
While the male chef was recooking it, we started to hear some loud noice of banging things in the kitchen, felt like he was not happy for our request. When the recooked glass noodle was delivered again, it was slightly softer than before, but, SUPER SALTY, even my husband asked me, "Why is it so salty?". We have to drink a lot of water to wash them down. Even so, I went to the chef and told him, "It was much better, thank you for that!", in a very polite manner.
But, the male chef said to me, "Is it better? Oh well next time just say 'softer', hehe."
Excuse me? Are you telling your customer what to say? Do you not know that your food was not cooked through and super salty? Is it how you serve? Is it the right attitude to ask and deliver food to your customer? I felt really offended.
I know that when cooked well, korean glass noodle can be bery delicious, and I trusted them, that's why I walked in to this restaurant. But I was very very very disappointed. I still gave one star only because the female waiter was very friendly to us, otherwise, ZERO star for the food the serving attitude...
Read moreWe've been coming to this ramen spot for the past 3-4 years and it’s truly become our favourite secret date place. The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, and every visit feels like coming home.
The owner is always incredibly kind — he remembers our usual order down to the smallest detail, and always makes sure it’s exactly how we like it. That personal touch is a big part of why we keep coming back.
I noticed some reviews mentioning that the ramen was "too salty." From our experience, the flavour here reflects the tastes of the loyal, regular customers who visit often, rather than trying to cater to every single palate. It's authentic, rich, and exactly what we look for — but like any real local spot, it’s a particular style that you grow to love.
If you want ramen made with care, with real flavour, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like part of the family, this is the place. We feel lucky to have it in our...
Read moreTrendy shop in a popular location. Parking can be an issue during peak hours. Unless you don't mind park a bit further away and have a walk. Good friendly services, good maximisation of small store space. Limited seating but clean inside. No partition between where the chef cooks the food and where customers sit-so your clothes can become smelly by the time you get back to the office. Short wait between the time you ordered the food and when it's ready. Delicious dishes. The male chef looked grumpy, no greeting or smiles to customers whatsoever. The so called "KFC" - Korean Fried chickens, they are a bit of rip off, they are in fact just chicken bites and for 8 TINY pieces, it costs $11 dollars. And not really authentic nor traditional Korean Fried CHICKEN taste you get at other Korean restaurants. Don't buy it. Other dishes are good. For $11 you can get real and proper wings at KFC (wicked wings) way...
