Chicken story — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

I should have taken it as a sign that the shop was empty at lunchtime on a Friday. Not only is this the worst “donburi” I’ve ever had, it is the worst “Japanese” food I’ve ever had. I use quotation marks because it doesn’t deserve the title. The meat was okay, the rice taste like plastic and the salad was literally just cabbage and the most rubbish mayo I’ve ever tasted.. Where are the rest of the ingredients? Soy sauce? Flavours? This is such a disgrace. They also had all their pre made sushi sitting in cabinets that weren’t refrigerated, I’m not sure if that is illegal but it is definitely considered unacceptable in the hospo industry. Paid $12 for a spicy ramen bowl. It's just nong shim instant noodles with egg drop & onion. Very disappointed 😔

Edit: *Ramyeon. Either way, it was instant noodles with an egg and onion. Nong shim are my favorite instant noodles so I recognized it right away. The disappointment was that it wasn't advertised as instant and had no fresh ingredients. This place used to be my favourite Japanese restaurant I'd ever been to. I would go often every single day.

Now with the new staff and menu, the food has become some of the worst I've ever tasted. Bland, rubbery chicken and just overall flavourless and boring.

The old place used to have the worlds most delicious Kimchi Fried Rice, and they would put a perfectly fried egg on top and some delicious fried chicken just for me as I was a regular customer... gone are those days :( I also miss the Spicy Chicken...
