TL;DR Good place to hangout with friends and family as it is spacious, easily accessible, and has many options for people with various dietary requirements/restrictions with nice and efficient staff.
Location: 5/5 Very close to the main street (5 min walk). Easily accessible via bus and has a large car park at the back, so parking is not a problem. It is close enough to other shops and groceries that you could definitely stop by to chill while out for errands. Wheelchair accessible as well.
Atmosphere: 5/5 Very nice. The decor looked good. It was very spacious and could possibly comfortably host a large group of 15+, as long as you inform them ahead of time. Lots of seating available, even outdoor seating. I came at 1:30 and they had quite a few people there, which showed that they were quite popular. The area was kept very clean despite how busy they were. Toilets were also clean. Great place to have brunch with friends/family.
Food: 5/5 Lots of options!! They had multiple display cases filled with food. They have breakfast wraps, salads, quiches, pies, muffins, scones, cakes (they had a mango cream cake that looked extremely delicious 🤤), tarts, doughnuts and plenty more. All of them looked very mouth watering - I had trouble choosing what to buy. They offered the usual drinks you could get from most cafes (e.g., Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Iced Latte, etc.). You can also choose from their menu, if nothing from the cabinet piqued your interest. They offered the usual cafe foods (e.g., burgers, Eggs Benedict, and Steaks) and had a few Vegan options too.
Service: 5/5 Quite Efficient. The queue was getting a bit long, but it moved quickly as 2 staff members were at the registers. You also had the option of scanning the QR code on the table to skip the line, which just shows off how efficient they are. My food came out within 20 mins and was good. The staff were polite. Plenty of staff were around, so if you needed anything, you could easily grab...
Read moreI hate giving bad reviews, but I can't not. Worst experience, customer service is horrible. Not a single person smiles, acknowledges you're their, or is friendly (except Kearny, she's a major asset) I booked a table, had to wait for someone to even acknowledge us at the counter, which is understandable when your trying to multitask, but then get told, we DONT book tables unless we are given more notice. Not a hi, or thanks for waiting... Then just left us as if we meant nothing. We went to pick a table, all dirty. That's OK i understood they were busy. Cleared it myself, wiped it down with my son's baby wipes, not a problem, BUT then a rude staff member, (who should never have been hired in customer service) slammed the salt and pepper on our table whilst saying (these stay on THIS table) I turned around and asked her if she was ok, she Said yeah. Couldn't believe it! If I hadn't had my son and driven my family 25 minutes from home to show them this "amazing" Cafe, I wouldn't have stayed.
Ordered the food from the filty little badge, (pleasw clean underneath these it was covered in mould and stunk) The food was nice, but notes were missed, chef doesn't look at the notes so don't bother wasting your time adding them when ordering. The coffees were the most disgusting I've ever tasted, my son's milkshake was gross and the drinks came 20 minutes after our food.
Anyways, I recommend you sort your staff out, I've worked in a super busy Cafe before but I still have the decency to say "hiii with a smile and apologise that I'm run off my feet but will get to you" This would be the first Cafe I'd suggest robots in.
Don't come here. It'll ruin your day, even though the foods nice, it isn't worth it. A simple hello or smile is non existent here from all staff except one (who should be promoted to manager) I highly suggest the owner take a look at what's happening in your Cafe. 10 minutes is all you need to show you, where you're going...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant for the first time after hearing great things about it. However, my experience was far from satisfactory. My partner and I decided to call in this morning as the place is always busy. We were excited to try out their menu, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment.
I ordered a latte, which was served in a flat white cup. This was not a major issue, but the coffee itself was extremely bitter and undrinkable. I even added sugar to try and lessen the bitterness, but it didn't help. It was a shame because I was really looking forward to a good cup of coffee.
Next, I ordered the Brioche French Toast. To my surprise, the banana on top was not ripe at all. It was hard as a rock and almost impossible to eat. The bacon was also a letdown as it was too tough and chewy. And to top it off, the meal was covered in popcorn, which I found strange and unnecessary. The only edible part of the dish was the French Toast itself.
My partner's meal was no better. The chips were very oily, and there was something off about the aioli. When he dipped a chip in it, the sauce stayed in the container, which was a clear sign that it was not fresh. We were both disappointed with the quality of the food.
Moreover, the restaurant was fairly busy, but the tables were not being cleared in a timely manner. This left people standing around, waiting for a place to sit. It was quite chaotic and took away from the overall dining experience.
Overall, the food looked nice, but it left a lot to be desired. It's such a shame because I had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately, due to this bad experience, my partner and I won't be returning. We were really looking forward to trying out this restaurant, but it was a huge letdown. I hope they can improve their food and service...
