FUSION FEAST | Biryani House | Halal — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

Last week we bought fried rice from this shop, it was amazing. There was no added color or chemical in it only the natural ingredients and natural spices added in to it. And the rice looked white. It was so good.

We bought the same fried rice yesterday, it was horrible. The rice looked very dark brown. They added so called soya sauce in the rice, which I think it was not a quality sauce just some chemicals. And there are no natural spices added like before. After having it my whole body got inflammation, So I took couple of anti inflammatory tablets and going to doctors today.

I don’t understand why they are not keeping consistency. Why government is not enforcing food safely. The substandard sauces, food color and materials making people very sick. I noticed that they use dark red color in the dishes as well.

When I asked the shop owner about the red color, he said I myself do not eat food color, this is to make the food presentable. This food color need to be banned because it makes people sick. It can come in various qualities and it can be just...

I would not recommend this restaurant. There was very poor experience overall. We ordered from this place using Uber eats. Both curries contained only bones without any even tiny piece of meat. This was very upsetting, what else would you eat except meat in a curry with meat? The worst experience of Indian food in Auckland so far. Also, the two portions of rice were missing and one of naan breads. As an outcome, we were hungry as there was actually nothing to eat. We ended up with one naan with a bit of curry sause for two people. You can have a decent mean for the money we paid but ended up hungry and upset....

Ordered lamb Biriyani via uber eats and requested for double masala or spicy. I have to say that this meal turned out pretty good. This is the first time I’m trying here and it’s quality food. Biriyani I got was neither under spiced nor over spiced and it was well balanced with enough masala. There are lot of places in and around Auckland that serve Hyderabad Biriyani but the taste and consistency is not the same every time. Hope this quality and taste continues in the future. Will definitely be back soon to try...
