Sierra Café Lincoln Road — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

DONT EAT HERE IF YOU INTEND TO SPEND TIME 1hr / AN AFTERNOON CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY - Food was as you’d expect from a cafe at cafe prices, we paid over $140 for the four of us but after 2hrs (I know that’s long - as we hadn’t see these two ppl since they went to America 2mths - so a lot to catch up on) we were told that the table was booked. This was to move us on, as a walk-in… off the street, that sat at another table then moved to our table (1person on a table for four🙄). Our table was not reserved when we got there with a sign (reserved at 2pm or anything like that). So quite rude - from the lady, I presume is the owner operator - I am a business owner - there were plenty of spare tables - there was or IS NO REASON to move paying customers on… unless they are being a public nuisance. I am a person of high self awareness… I noticed the time she came by our table to clean an ask if we wanted something else - a few times - I got the feeling she was trying to hint to buy something or leave - we brought a round of coffees & savoury muffins (dry and not nice) the first time, after the initial meal. So we may have spent a little more over $140… but I just ignored it, thinking it just a culture thing (that is they way they speak with that tone because english is not their first language). But the feeling was confirmed later as I said above - using the table is reserved tactic. VERY DISAPPOINTING is a nice description of our experience. We have been to this cafe about 4-5 times in the last 4months but this is definitely the last time we will go here again… VERY BAD SERVICE. I am writing this review almost 2mths after the fact. I was looking for a cafe to meet at for a business meeting when I saw this on google maps as a convenient middle location but Never again…. That’s how fresh this experience is… such a shame.. Surprisingly enjoyed it here! A few minor things, like the tea pots both were difficult to pour, but not enough so that I'd rate it 4 *'s. The food was actually a lot better than I expected, the 5-grain bread was delicious, the bacon was tasty, and the staff we a lot more friendly than I was expecting.

You could tell they enjoyed working there and wanted to make the meal enjoyable, and it really made a difference.

Price was average, ~$40 for a big breakfast for two with drinks and a couple extra hash browns (Which were probably some of the nicest hash browns I've had in a while).

Breakfast date with my sister. My sister is a regular here and I wasn't convinced as Sierra Airport area is not great.

Henderson however, a completely different experience. Love the atmosphere, choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Not alot of space which is a good thing I think.
