One of the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had.
They served their soup last instead if first, and they even got our soup order wrong. We tried to have it exchanged for the right order but the servers were plain RUDE. I told them while pointing at the dish we wanted that my mom said she wanted chicken and corn soup but they gave us minced beef and spinach soup. I told them I didn't want that soup, I wanted the chicken and corn one. The girl who took our order insisted that my mom (who was sitting beside me when she took our orders) said yes when the girl asked if she wanted the mince beef and spinach soup. I told her, no she clearly said that she wanted the other one. The same girl who took our order just turned her back to me and made herself look busy checking the orders that were brought out from the kitchen while saying something in chinese like "Well that's not my problem now. Whatever." They even tried to blame the mistake on us instead of just apologising and providing the right order immediately.
I asked for the right order and asked for an estimate on how soon we can have it served and they just said they don’t know. "I just told the cook now." is not the answer I want; I want to know if it's ready in 5-10 minutes. The girl even told me "It's not supposed to be that long since it's just soup." And I agreed. But she continued not to give me an estimate on time.
I cancelled the order since they didn't know when it'll come out and they made a huge fuss about it saying that soup is served last in China and that it'll clearly take a while since the new order was just being cooked now. We are not in effing China, fyi. Like, who blames their customers for the crew's lack of manners??
I DON’T recommend dining here. I’m never coming back and I’m sharing this info with everyone I know. The food is not at all exceptional either. Noodle Canteen and M+M Tea in Mt. Albert are lightyears better than this place! If I could give them negative stars or...
Read moreTo be fair, this place makes the best "xiao long bao" (soup dumplings) I've ever tasted. I was never a fan so that's saying quite a bit! However, their bad service and loooooong waiting times really bring them down. It's unfortunate because the bad service doesn't apply to every single person but it's bad enough that it affects my overall rating.
One time, hubby and I had been waiting for over 50 minutes for our xiao long bao, assuming they were just making it from scratch perhaps. One of the staff told the table beside us that there was only one kitchen staff member that day and apologised for the wait, but we never got the same message. Biased much?? We'd asked the lady who'd served us originally about the wait after 45 minutes and they just said they'd check, and didn't even come back to answer us.
Recently I ordered the dumplings for taking away and apparently they'd made it, but didn't call out my order. They called out my order number but my receipt didn't have the number on it. I'd spent another 45 minutes waiting before checking. 😔😔
There's also a very annoying man who keeps talking to another staff member like they're stupid. Don't think it's a nice...
Read moreDumplings were good but I would never come back here again. The place was absolutely FILTHY. I went to use the bathroom but changed my mind when I saw the state of it. The teapots were sticky (+ they gave us someone else's once used tea & just filled it up with hot water as if I wouldn't notice) and the floor was covered in food, hair, and dirt. The staff are absolutely useless and didn't come to our table once despite being given a table # on arrival. The staff were also talking & joking with each other loud af, and at one point they were all holding their noses, pointing at the toilet door (where I assume the chef was bombing the toilet) and laughing. Halfway through paying, the lady ditched the counter and left us there for minutes while she talked to her coworker. We...
