Fantasy Korean BBQ (Henderson) 范特西烧烤(西区店) — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

Ive been here in the past with my family alot and have enjoyed it. But last night the service and staff were so unprofessional. They put 13 of us in a little room at the back of the restaurant. When we started cooking, the smoke was hard to eat through and enjoy our meal. I asked at the front reception if there was ventilation in the room which she replied they had turned it on. 10 mins later nothing had changed so I asked to be moved because our kids were finding it hard to eat in the room and the restaurant was empty. The reception was a young girl and the only one who spoke English, she was hesitant to move us but finally said we could move. For the rest of the night they didnt change our papers in the stove or take any of our used plates, but I didnt really think much of it. It wasnt until one of the staff came and took the stove out of the table that I realised they were all standing around the front of the restaurant laughing and watching us. I went up to the girl who was the only one who could speak english and asked her to bring the cooking plate back. They weren't happy and continued to stare at us for the rest of the night. Had lunch today at Lincoln road Fantasy Korean BBQ. I am aware that it is a food chain and having been to one of their other branch at New North road, l feel there is a room for improvement. First the paper towels are in a plastic which makes it hard to use. Their meats are placed high* hard to reach) because they tried to store everything in one container. Also few dishes to choose from. The noodles are totally different from what the New North road offers. No fried eggs and for vegetables, all l could see was mushrooms, onions and kimchi.

The place looks clean. There were only 2 ladies serving on the floor. Most of the trays were empty, wonder if they fill them because l got there at 1pm and they close at 2pm. Moreover, l am not the first one to note this. One person who reviewed before me did mention that their lunch menu is not great.

Still l prefer Han Duck Hanmere at Northshore, then New Borth road Korean BBQ. This one needs a lot of improvement but in saying that it is way better than other Korean BBQ places in...

WONDERFUL!! CLEAN!! DELICIOUS FOOD My family (6) arrived at 930pm wanting a meal. We didnt have a reservation but they were very lovely to accommadate. The cooked buffet was great, very yummy choices. The meats and seafood selection were amazing. Over 10 different options, squid, and prawns galore. Although we were the only ones left and most dishes were emptied, they topped up whatever we wanted and kept making us feel welcome despite us being the last table. The side dish selection had Kimchi, vege which were great. The desserts were replenished constantly, the brown sponge cake was so light and delicious. My family had a wonderful time, and it was so lovely. The restaurant and buffet areas were well looked after and everything felt clean and hygienic which I thought was a great start when we arrived. Buffet places can often be sticky, or run down but this restaurant upkeeps a nice tidy atmosphere.
