The Hangar — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

Had a difficult day so we decided to treat ourselves to a late lunch at the restaurant part of the Hanger - where we've been going reasonably regularly for several years. First disappointment - the beer menu has been changed and I can no longer get Monteiths origional. It's all now IPA's, APA,s pilsners and a lager. These beers are all very good but sometimes I just want a good draught beer. Second - I asked the waiter (who was one I hadn't seen before) too pass my disappointment onto management and explained the above. He just laughed! Third - We asked for teriyaki chicken wings. What came out was cajun. Seems this same waiter decided we'd prefer Cajun. His only comment was most people prefer Cajun. Fourth - Time to pay and leave. They have changed the system. the Waiting staff can no longer take payments - so we had to queue up at the bar and wait for some time while several people to get their drinks before we could pay. I need to say the food was very good and came out quickly so very happy with the kitchen but this was spoilt by the changed beer menu, the attitude & actions of 1 waiter and the new system for...

x2 Rib eye meal Mothers Day with my boys ruined! steak tough tasteless, egg whites sizzled, chips cold & salad bland. MEAL TASTELESS!

garlic prawns son said they were OK? my opinion zero garlic taste, drowned in oil!

Garlic cheese bread bland where was the garlic taste, cheap bread & cheese!

Boys were hungry saving our apetite for mothers day late lunch, RUINED MY DAY!

I would've complained to staff BUT decided not bc it would've of RUIN our first outing together as a family for 4 years. I've been abroad!

My boys were HUNGRY reason they ate their meals, making comments throughout about the steak tough, tasteless, DEFINITELY NOT RIBEYE, garlic bread bland no taste, chicken nibbles tasteless, egg whites sizzled.

I personally was expecting a great experience from this place. People have told me about it so I was looking forward to tonight's surprise birthday party. We were greeted at the entrance which was good. The venue is decent. The food was decent too. HOWEVER the service is very much lacking. This is the first time I've experienced staff holding back on giving more plates when requested! The chap at the bar seem to want to help but is somewhat reluctant to. What gives mate? People need plates for eating. Another staff (girl with white ribbon to hold her hair up) was requested very kindly if she can give us more plates. She argued ten were provided for ten people why are you asking for more. I couldn't believe it. I told her well there is none. She went back to the kitchen but never came back. Later when we were able to find plates ourselves, another girl asked us if she can take our plates away even though we were still eating. Gosh what was it with plates tonight? Don't you have enough to go around? Me, I am NEVER coming back...
