Sugar n Cup cafe — Restaurant in Hibiscus and Bays

Walked in and greeted with a kind welcome into a very clean establishment. A fairly priced menu, especially when compared with the similar establishments in the area - very good portion sizes. I ordered the large flat white which was only $5.50 but was in a nice large cup, with a beautiful thick frothy top, there is ny hand for a size comparison in the picture, I'm 178cm so I have an average male hand size. The waffles were also very nice, the fruit was fresh, juicy and delicious, it wasn't too sweet or too desert-like for a breakfast waffle and again a decent portion size for only $18.

Flat White Large Coffee 10/10 - just a great coffee.

Sweet Waffles 9/10 - the only thing I wish was slightly more crispy waffles because the Ice Cream will soften the waffle as you eat it, but the ingredients choices were perfect.

Price 10/10 - for a Cafe, you can't find similar prices in New Zealand for the same portion sizes.

Service 8/10 - Just a great experience and kind people but realistically a busy environment so you can't expect a 10/10 service compared with personal waiter staff or a Michilen restaurant for example.

Environment 11/10 - clearly they have an eye for interior and exterior design, plating, warmth, lighting and comfortability were all greatly considered. I will say if you're a student planning to study here then I will not recommend it as it is a small space intended for come and go eaters and coffee lovers.

I will be coming back here to enjoy the food and environment, and definitely bring some friends as I'm positive they will...

Lots of tables dirty and had not been cleaning, dirty dishes on lots of tables. Moldy sugar holder on the table, also the table was very dirty especially in the middle, I doubt it has ever been cleaned. Food, well what to say, bacon and wedges were both burnt, sour cream wasn't fresh, iced chocolate was just chocolate flavoring and ice, iced coffee was nice and chocolate caramel slice was nice. Atmosphere wasn't good, rude staff walked past our dirty table four times and 10 mins before clearing the dirty dishes but didn't wipe the table, they even cleared an empty table before ours. Not...

Sugar n Cup Cafe has great food portions and delicious options. I personally had the toasted bagel with salmon, and I must say it was fresh and delicious! The staff are very friendly and make the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We were part of a group of 8 and the staff were very hospitable and did a great job of trying to serve our dishes in a timely manner.
