Wild Wheat Howick — Restaurant in Howick

Sad to see this once great bakery decline. They never have almond croissants (and i know i'm not the only one who wants them - each time i've been there the person before me has asked for them too). The loaf i bought this morning was stale, the pain au choclate had a tiny squirt of chocolate, i stopped buying the foccacia slab because the recipe is now dry and bland, cinnamon roll is now largely cinnamon-free. As you can tell, i've been a fan, but i'm over it . it's like an accountant has got hold of the recipes and taken all the good stuff out. And the staff are...

First visit, so impressed. Excellent CS, Fabulous Lamb Pie. Love this place I must visit again.............

second visit - even more impressed. I was able to secure the last lamb pie but more than that, when I discovered I had somehow cut my finger and there was blood, the young man behind the counter was deeply concerned and asked if I need a plaster. He swiftly brought me a plaster with which I tended my wound. This place offers the most amazing customer service, ever.

The pies are a real specialty for the store unfortunately production planning has always been very poor! The store closes at 4:00pm but they run of products at 12:00pm!! The problem is it’s always the same product. Guys just check your sales history to improve your stock availability. I have mentioned this issue when this store first opened but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears. A customer who walks in at 3:00pm should have the same offer as the customer who walks in at 9:00am.
