Absolutely and thoroughly enjoyed the Leather Craft Class at the Uxbridge Art & Cultural Centre. Fern the instructor/ teacher was totally amazing, her infectious laugh, passion and skill for leather work made the class fun and exciting for not only myself but the other participants. After a full day of fun and at times frivolity each an everyone in the class achieved their desired goals with their creations. Many thanks once again to Fern and the impressive Uxbridge Art & Cultural Centre.

Attended the beginners' pottery class for five lessons and it was a lovely experience. Our teacher explained as best as he could and he also has an amazing background with pottery. He helped out with my almost disastrous looking pottery 😅 but I managed to make a few that looked alright. The wait for firing the pottery wasnt too long either around 5 days. Will definitely think about attending other classes or continuing practicing pottery.

My 9-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Drawing & Sketching class (Tue 3:45-5:15) with Maree. Learning to depict objects with pencil sketching added a technical dimension to her artistic skills. It was a great class for a 9-year-old who loves drawing, providing more advanced content rather than simplistic children's drawings. This class is highly recommended for kids who love drawing and want to boost their skills.

Acrylic pouring class was an absolute waste of $138! The first hour we each had to sit and stir a cup of paint to the right consistancy while the tutor came around & added water. All the cups should have been made up ready to use then the tutor could just make one up quickly for the class to see the process (which is basically pouring paint in, adding water & stirring till smooth & runny). She then showed us how to dollop the paint on the canvas & blow it around. Most of us had seen it done online with a hairdyer not expecting to be blowing it ourselves. We should have been told to take a hair tie if we were to have our faces right over the paint blowing it. What an awkward mess that became! By the time we started doing our own work we only had about 30 - 40 minutes to do it in & then we were expected to clean everything up....paint filled cups, tables & floor. My friend & I would rather have spent our Saturday afternoon & money having a bite to eat & a...

Fantastic! I go to Church at Uxbridge and grabbed one of their brochures for weekend workshops one Sunday morning. I have done a soap making course before (pre-Covid) so decided to do the one day workshop with Jackie. The venue was fantastic, the class was hands on but with good information on the chemistry side of soap making. The tutor was down to earth, friendly and made the whole experience fun. I had been nervous about the dangers of using lye in soap making after my first course, but having more knowledge about the chemicals and chemical process (which I didn't get at the first course), I feel more comfortable to move forward and actually make soap at home. I know also, that I can call on Jackie at any time if I have questions. Highly recommend Uxbridge for courses and also highly recommend Jackie's soap...

60+ Pilates survey: Venue: Excellent - always clean, welcoming, warm, interesting Tutor: Juliet is absolutely wonderful. Warm, caring, professional and sensitive to the abilities and needs of her clients. She encourages us to extend ourselves but always ensures we do only what is right for us as individuals knowing our own capacities. Class: We have a growing friendship with each other as most of us have been doing the same class for a number of years. This meets the need for community which is a high need in our age group as health, marital status, work status etc changes and isolation can become a major issue. Benefits: The health benefits of this class are very important for our age group in terms of balance, flexibility, muscle tone etc. Doing this class is part of my well-being and I'm very...
