Majestic Cafe - Invercargill Central — Restaurant in Invercargill City

Had a fantastic experience here. When I arrived, the staff let me take a look at the offerings in the cabinet without being pushy. I decided to order the sausage roll (very reasonably priced and came with a side salad) and a lemon lime and bitters. What surprised me about this most was that I was offered a glass with ice for it (which I took up immediately). Food arrived on my table in 15 minutes, which given the number of people that were there was impressive. I didn't receive cutlery so I asked one of the roaming staff members. They apologized profusely and I had cutlery ready to go in a minute. Food was delicious, filling but not too filling, and overall I just had a great experience with this cafe....

It's clear the owners of the Magestic are serious about providing superb food and service. This was somewhat unexpected for a 'mall cafe' but some research before arriving in Invercargill suggesting the Magestic was worth a visit really did bear fruit. The staff were attentive and professional, I overheard staff apologisng that a menus item was unavailable and it was a great demonstration of customer care. When it arrived the salmon eggs bennie and avocado smash really were as delicious as they looked the coffee was also delicious. I look forward to trying the other fare on offer during my next visit.
