Moon Sushi & Eatery — Restaurant in Kaipātiki

Ok, so i work locally (construction workers). I eat here a fair bit it's fast and easy, the food is good, but its it good value?? Its borderline, here's why I say this...The sushi rolls are smaller than anywhere else I have had, other sushi they have there like ele, prawn, salmon, chicken etc that sits on the top of rice always falls apart if your trying to eat it with chop sticks. I thought about this a bit and have come up with the conclusion that they are trying to save money by not packing the rice firmer to hold itself while trying to take half a bite, the sushi being smaller in circumference also makes me wonder. I hate to say it but they are trying to save money, which makes me feel like i'm being ripped a bit. It is great however the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I just feel i'm not getting what I can elsewhere. I just want what I can get elsewhere, don't cut corners, if you served these sizes in Japan, well you'd be gone in seconds...Most of the time I order lunch I spend around $12 dollars could I feel more fuller/satisfied in my tummy for $12 dollars elsewhere? yes right next door to the hand pull noodle place, but as i said it's fast,...

Most likely the BEST sushi restaurant! When I went there face-to-face, the staff greeted me with a smile and "Hello!". I knew I was gonna have a HUGE tummy after my dinner. They’ve done an awesome job renovating the place! Has a warm vibe and nice decor. Staff are friendly! Their sushi may be a bit pricey, but you’re paying for fresh and delicious sushi. Not soggy or stale like other places. If they free up the back bench of boxes...etc more people can sit and eat. Same with the table outside. Will try their cooked meals soon.
