Kind atmosphere when you walk in, six staff members when I counted. Paid $45.00 for blueberry pancakes and creamy mushrooms on toast. Mushroom: a bowl of watery 'cream' a few mushrooms, SLITHERS of bread around the top, so thing you couldn't put anything on top, worse when I got into the dish was the slimey soggy bread in the bowl (see photo) Pancakes: I asked from the get go if they were made fresh, the teller assured me yes they are, we premix the flour but the cakes are made fresh to order! LIES the pancakes were yellow, had one blueberry in each and were as stiff as cardboard, honestly were inedible even soaked in syrup and cream, even the bacon seems microwaved (see photo) I went up to the till to give the teller feedback, he looked at me "oh" and with a nonchalant tone said "I'll let the chef know" to think I spent nearly $50 in today's economy to eat something so drastically under pah in general let alone a cafe in middle Onehunga. Do not give business to this place and kid yourself you had a good experience to justify wasting your money. Southmall Manurewa better quality at the classic cafe.

Visited here for the first time with my sister for lunch and it was so good, we had the BLAT with fries it was so delicious! and the sauce with the fries 👌 yum. And the chocolate brownie, dangerous 🤤 10/10. The staff are so kind, calm and friendly. Our meals came fast too, food was fresh. My sister and I are so very glad we came here! Thank you for the amazing customer service. To the staff here, you're doing a great job! Highly recommend and we will be back! 😃

Very family oriented. Always our favorite cafe in onehunga. Our kids love the fruit bowl, pancakes, milkshakes & kids meals that have hot chippies in them. My husband and I love the chicken livers, pumpkin soup, smoothies and so much more that we always come back. Friendliest staff, very accommodating & would highly recommend this be your next cafe to visit. Bless 🙏🏻

Very average

The cooked breakfast menu is ok , very very average , the pancakes were nice enough but not enough maple syrup at all , the soufflé omelette was just a regular omelette not a soufflé at all , and the fries were undercooked we sent them back and they tried to argue with us saying we had eaten them so had to pay , yes we ate about 4 in total !

Not a good idea to argue with the customers over a bowl or clearly raw fries. We did get the money back for these thanks to the manager who saw the issue.

The coffee is very average the cabnet food is much nicer than the cooked food and I must say the pecan pie was definitely the best part

With so many options in the same street alone this place really needs to work on the food and customer service to maintain a customer base.

Also there was a bird flying around inside the cafe and the staff clearly were not bothered thankfully other diners were and we managed to get it out !

We...

Great service, friendly staff and good food. I've been a regular there for 4+ years and feel well looked after by the staff who put in a good effort. Five stars for all of that. But that TV, that infernal TV - losing a star for that. Having a tv going in the corner for no reason ruins the atmosphere. Sure turn it on for the occasional Olympics or football world cup, or something meaningful, but Edge Music or Breakfast tv? No. How about some gentle middle-of-the-road piped music - takes the edge off...
