The Cozy Cafeteria — Restaurant in Maungakiekie-Tāmaki

Nice ambience with an artist-painted wall with varying plants. Friendly service, welcomed with a greeting as soon as we walked in, plenty of seats, table service offered as well as water brought out. Not a long wait for food. Cabinet food is reasonably priced and you can easily have two drinks and two dishes for around $30. The menu meals are also well priced most being at or under $20 per person. I had the corn fritters and they were generous with portion size, with very nice tasting bacon, and a good quality salad that was more extensive than the garnish you’ll see in other places. Their cappuccino could do with a little more foam, but was still well made.

From the minute you walk in the door you know you are in the right place, amazingly friendly ego free down to earth staff, customers all happy, awesome retro decor. Very clean tables well spaced out, noise in the room seemed to flow very well even though the cafevwas full and energetic. I ordered a soy late and vege breakfast, coffee arrived in a decent sized cup not like 90% of the other cafes where you get a 2-3 sip cup and you have to buy another, a÷÷, breakfast was fantastic, could taste the garlic and seasoning in the mushrooms, spinach tomatoes and avo yum! What an experience. This has to be my overall choice cafe for 2024. You find your seating, your given a glass jug of water and glasses with your table menu. We ordered our beverages before our breakfast meal. Cappuccino rated 5 star, the best I had compare to the CBD cafes. Enjoyed my big breakfast meal (maybe suggest to loose one slice toast and potato replace for cooked spinach) Needed some greens with this meal, other than that very good portion and generous to have.
