Great off leash dog park around the bay, some on leash areas if you go over the bridge. Nice sealed paths around most of the bay, but need to walk on the sand across the front to complete the circuit. In high tide times or if you have a wheel chair or stroller you need to walk to the sand area then turn back and walk back round where you came. Still a lovely walk though with lots of friendly dog owners. There is a small kids playground to the left of the carpark area, plus skate ramp and basic fitness equipment. There are public toilets to the right of the carpark area.

One of my favorite reserves for walking and running. The route and path are very convenient and well-marked, making it easy to navigate. The bay adds a calming and enjoyable touch to the experience. The playground has been upgraded with new bars and swings which is great for children. The community are always friendly, and there are plenty of well-trained dogs running around, which is a nice addition.

Lots of open space for walking, running, gathering & exercise. Clean, wide paths & bridges. Playground for the children, views of the harbour and the dogs love swimming in the lagoon. Lots of other dogs with friendly owners, plenty parking. It’s pretty here, enjoy the morning & evening strolls. Wheelchair friendly!

This is probably the best dog park in Tamaki Makaurau. There is a big carpark, off the road, next to the park. There is water for dogs to swim. There is a dog friendly drinking fountain. There are fields. There is a kid's playground. There are dog-poo bins throughout, but unfortunately no poo bags at the park. There is a public bathroom which is disability friendly. There is also a wheelchair friendly path around most of the lagoon. It would be better if it was entirely around, but the last part of the path, joins outside the fence with the footpath on the road, and it has stairs and a gate. However, a wheelchair user could turn around, and go back the way they came, without having to have their dog on leash. Whilst this isn't adequate, it is probably the best off leash dog walking option for wheelchair users in Tamaki Makaurau...

It's very accessible if you live around Onehunga, Mangere,Hillsborough area or a quick drive down the motorway if you come from further afield. There are two walk ways bridges that you can use to cross over the motorway. One near the start of the track and one nearer to the toilets. You can see them as you are driving north or south on the motorway. It has a nice walking track by the water with seating and tables spread along it. You can sit with your children on the sand or on the grass and relax or play. A lot of people use it, cyclists, runners, dog walkers . There are toilet facilities and parking for your vehicles and a boat ramp for you to launch your boat. A very nice place to relax, walk, run, cycle, that is near to...
