I am really impressed by this small coffee shop. It is one of the rare places in Auckland, and possibly even in all of New Zealand, that truly knows what they are doing when it comes to coffee. The staff members are highly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, and they have a deep understanding of coffee.
I ordered a flat white and matcha, and both were really good. The coffee was strong and perfectly crafted, hitting the spot just as I desired today. The matcha was even more impressive, nearly capturing the authentic taste of Japanese matcha.
The only drawback I encountered was the shop's location and size. It is quite tiny, making it less ideal for seating and truly savoring the coffee. However, it is more suited for takeaways, allowing customers to enjoy their beverages on the go. It would be great if the shop could relocate to a more central area or expand its space, perhaps within a mall or similar setting. The potential is immense, and these talented individuals have much to offer to coffee enthusiasts.
Overall, it is a must try for coffee fans if you have time. I commend the coffee shop and its team for their excellent work. They have undoubtedly carved a niche for themselves and are a valuable addition to the coffee scene. Keep up...
Read moreImpressive coffee Roasters in Auckland. One thing that I really appreciate is the amazing service they offer.
I asked the staff to give me recommendations on what beans to try. After talking about my preferred tasting notes, they helped to recommend something that was spot on. The staff here truely care and go above and beyond to give you the best quality beans to match your desired taste.
One thing I love about Dear Deer is that they roast your beans on the spot so each batch is completely personalised to your own selection. Because of this, you can choose your own roasting levels (including a light roast!) which is...
Read moreDecided to try this place due to amazing reviews. Unfortunately disappointed by the latte I ordered. Bought a regular size only came in paper cup, understandably they are not sitting down cafes. Coffee was underwhelming and milk was too hot. Also no latte art what did I expect coffee in paper cup of course no latte art! If it was a great coffee I wouldn’t have minded paying $6, sadly felt like a total waste of money. Bought a bag of beans home, underwhelmed again. I will stick to my Raglan beans, everyone I try something new have found myself coming back to...
