I do not know how much this matters or any preventable action will be taken by the company, but here is my sane review and frustration.
First all let me be put this outright, the employees are very nice, kind, obliging, accommodating, hard working and through my 40 mins of wait of my order (including return and redo of my custom burger), everybody was on their toes, running around to serve the customers the quickest and best. And they equivocally apologised to every customer for any delay in service. So this review has nothing to do with them, the service guys were the best.
My review is on the quality of the food/burger served - which essentially goes by to McDonald's HO or NZ, or the suppliers.
Within 30 seconds of picking my burger from the counter, opening and taking the first bite of Almighty Crispy Chicken, the bread lost all its integrity, started sogging, wet and breaking. The chicken crispy patties (double) were an absolute disaster - taste wise and look wise. Coke tasted bitter (wasn't diet or zero), fries but overcooked, soaked bit extra in burnt oil and tasted bad. Trust me, after the poor burger and bitter coke, the fries were last resort for a little happiness or satisfaction. But, nada, an absolute waste of $19.50 which made me to take a pledge - never ever ever and ever eating at any McDonalds again. May be your expansion has spoiled your quality of...
Read moreI've been to this place a few times with family and almost every time there is something that disapoints. It's either they forget some thing in the order, the food in the order is of low quality, the wait times are insane or the service is horrible (I'm not someone who cares about customer service as long as the food is good but when you want to confront them about the problems with the order and they get annoyed then thats when I get annoyed). One time, I waited ages for a frozen coke only to have the guy at the counter hand it over to some one else who quickly and suspiciously started drinking it before I could even tell the guy at the counter that it was my order number. I gave up and just told the counter to just forget it as I wasn't going to wait another 15mins for a $1.50 frozen coke (the counter didn't even trying to rectify the problem. The person just moved on like nothing happened). This place needs to implement a better system for calling out the orders. Either have some loud speaker or some sort so customers can actually hear the poor peple at the counter shouting their lungs out. However, knowing the type of people who own those places, I highly doubt that they would (they are too damn cheap). The managers there won't even hire more employees to push orders out quicker. Read moreMy 10 yr old found a little hair in her meatless kiwi burger as she is a vegetarian (hard enough to get a vege burger at McD which isn't ideal let alone finding a hair in her burger). As she ate half way into her burger she found a little hair which she took out and showed me. I took the burger back to the counter and they took to the store manager. Clearly staff aren't empowered to make decision at restaurants. I was given a choice to either receive another burger or go without. Refund wasn't an option because the burger was eaten. Fair enough but how can anyone find a foreign object embedded inside a food item without eating into it?! People dont go searching for foreign items in thier takeaway food! Wish I had taken a picture if the hairy burger! Rightfully all returned items should automatically be refunded with a complementary item if the same item ordered that is customer service.
