Cafe Anatolia Napier — Restaurant in Napier

This place is absolutely incredible! After running a literal half marathon my friends and I were on a mission to get a meal that not only filled us but fuelled us for our long drive home. What was the first thing that came to mind? A kebab! At this point we were so hungry that price didn’t matter and any portion would do. There we were desperately googling the words “kebab” and low and behold this magnificent cafe was the top result. We parked up and walked in. Firstly the atmosphere was fantastic with a lovely clean vibe and upbeat music! Secondly there were 3 self serve kiosks where we could all order at the same time!! Thirdly there was beautiful crisp ice cold water for free if you chose to dine in. The seating was also immaculate with multiple booth style tables where you felt enclosed in your own little happy world. Then the best thing happened. The food arrived! We were all astonished! Not only did it smell and look devine but… THE PORTIONS!! My goodness what a great value for money! Fantastic flavours that melted in your mouth and absolute satisfaction! Cafe Anatolia we will definitely be back and we so appreciate you making our stay in the Hawkes bay so much...

Service was good, but she got our order wrong, gave us beef, slipped the plates on the table an left. After she took our plates back to change the meat to chicken, she took another 15mins to correct it. Food hygiene and food handling was disgusting after seeing the same girl eating from the grill with her hands through the viewing window above the oven. An overkill on the veges, as you can see in the picture, heaps of red cabbage and onion will leave the worst taste in your mouth, hardly any sauce to it, made it dry. I understand the veges being cold but because there was SO MUCH, that made the tiny amount of chicken meat just as cold by the time we received our meal. No hair nets are worn, so beware of HAIR! in your food people. Indian guy seemed to be the one in charge, ell he didn't have a very good attitude about our complaint. To add to it, we paid $7.00 for the Banana smoothie that we cpuld hardly taste any banana in. So here it is. BAD REVIEW !

Prices for everything have gone up, but looking what you pay at Anatolia for a plate of sald and a handful of chicken makes your eyes water. I also don't like that you have to order through these touch screen things now. That brings it from five stars to four.

Still, I go sometimes for lunch when I feel like a dish with lots of fresh vegetables and salad.

This is a convenient location in the Napier CBD.

Some of the staff are outstanding and very friendly, some are grumpy. I hope they pay the staff well, considering what we pay for their food.

Today I looked at the metal cuttlery I got and it looked like it had not been cleaned since last use. So I put that to the side and used one of their plastic forks. In the past I had tables several times that needed cleaning. This brings it from 4...
