The Sushi Club — Restaurant in Napier

I had meal set 9; katsu chicken on rice with salad & a miso soup.

I must admit that it's sorta a cheat meal for me. Katsu is obviously fried chicken so it's not good for you. However, I convince myself that it's somewhat better than KFC as it comes with rice & salad plus in this case soup.

As for the meal itself... It's pretty much the good quality that I'd expect from a Japanese food outlet. So a high standard but not "gee wow whee, gotta have that again".

What I am on the lookout for is a place that makes Omraisu (omlette on a mound of fried rice with a heavy gravy). This is a staple in most Japanese homes but no restaurant serves...

This sushi shop is not great. Most of the time I've gotten sick from their food. The food did not look fresh today. It looks like it had been sitting there for hours, or overnight. I'm not sure why i even decided to go back considering the negative experiences I've had in the past. The prices are also hiking. far better value and portions down the street at Fresh Sushi. Atleast the sushi is fresh there, and I know for a fact that I won't get sick after...

I used to come here a lot years ago with my daughter when she was younger. I have recently been back and have been delighted with such friendly amazing service from the older man behind the counter. He is already so positive and cheerful. Customer service like this is almost lost and I commend you for providing such a great experience. Keep up the great attitude. Will be back. Oh and you take cash (I always pay in cash) so...
