Kia ora Team WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alrighty this review going to be brutally honest & lengthy & i might ending up getting 4-5 dislikes on it. Visited 5thmarch with my mates to grab just takeaway as restaurant was very busy and staff have advised us that their will be minimum 30mins wait on the food Group of 4-5 pax came on counter and started yelling on FOH team/Manager about wait on the food & etc etc. the manager have accepted that they have waited for food and appologized them numerous time. FOH asked them to leave the premises when they have started harrasing him infront of us and other customer, tried to take photos and etc etc. TEAM this is hospitality Good things take time, I am sure every business is facing an awfull time due to covid19 restrcitions and light system. Lets please support our local business and community just by showing courtsey gesture They are working hard for us so we can have good time with our loved ones. offcourse we pay for this but they dont deserve to be treated that awfully. I feel so sad about the Manager/FoH team who have faced this, tiny tears in his eyes and sweat on forehead due to 4-5 inpatient arrogant group. Threating him to bring rating down. Most unprofessional and disgusting thing is Posting 4-5 different reviews for the same incident just to bring rating down of the restaurant and effect that business, community & awesome staff. Such a shameful act. Kindly please ignore those 4-5 fake reviews posted on 5-6March,2022 and support the local business. Just another hospo person from Wellington. I hope those people have found place somewhere...

It’s always very tricky to review when food is delicious, but service terrible. That’s the case with this place. Let me start with food. When we eventually got it (more on that to follow) it is the best that Indian kitchen has to offer, well seasoned, spicy and delicious. Every singe dish was just great and it helps in our case that there is wide vegetarian/ vegan choice. Cauliflower was delicious, but even mains ALOO GOBI ADRAKI and PINDI CHANNA - Spicy chickpeas cooked with tomatoes & garnished generously with onions and coriander were just perfect. So let get to the service and why it’s important for restaurants to have customer friendly and motivated staff. We made a booking and first upon entry had to wait good 5 minutes, before anyone even came to greet us, then very unpleasant and non English speaking waitress couldn’t find our reservation. Luckily someone else came and found the booking at once. We ordered our food and drinks and then waited and waited. After good half an hour wait we noticed that tables who arrived afterwards are already getting their food, while we are waiting. Since none even bothered to come and check on us I had to go and check myself and turned out they forgot to place our order. No apologies, no attempt to offer us free drink for the trouble, nothing. The thing is that it was busy night and everyone can make a mistake, but how it’s handled ruins everything. We would certainly understand if someone came to apologise but now we will avoid this place and dont recommend it to anyone unless you want to take your chances on the mood...

Rasoi - Indian Restaurant at Marine Parade before I visited them over one weekend was always on my list. Prior to this visit always found it booked and not able to get bookings. May be due to COVID times, it also had been following social distancing quite well. This time again visited during peak hours but was lucky enough to spot a place for two and it was a chilly afternoon. Ambience – 10/10: Nice ambience and quite a good space at center of this town. You hardly find good options next to these visitor’s heavy spots. This one does the justice.

Service & Hospitality – 10/10: You are given enough attention and you won’t feel disappointed. Staff is really generous.

Food Taste and Preparation – 20/10: It was awesome and authentic taste, not seen any authentic taste in Indian cuisine in eastern New Zealand. We order Kadhai Paneer and Arbi dish, believe me it was never before I had seen such a tasteful affair with the food.

Quantity – 10/10: Sufficient quantity, you won’t regret. Everything we ordered was in right quantity as it should be. 😊

Overall – A must visit place for every Indian food lover for authentic taste of cuisine. You hardly fine one these days in midst of visitor crowded place. It was an amazing experience. Keep it up...
