Singapore Restaurant — Restaurant in Napier

Very disappointed with the service and food. It was so terrible it became funny. Booked in to the highly rated restaurant at 6pm. We were 1 of 3 tables in there. It appeared that takeaways were the priority before the people dinning in. It took a good 30 minutes before a server took our order. There was no one else they were attending to, so unsure why no communication. Entree arrived at 7.15pm 1 and a quarter hours after we arrived. Shirley then came down and told me she couldn't do crispy duck but would do roast duck....blows me away that it took her over an hour to realize she couldn't fulfill my order. 8pm we had still not received mains. 8.30pm 2x mains arrive (out of 5). Pork belly was so tough and chewy it was literally inedible. Roast duck came out luke warm...not like it had been put in the frige, but as though it had been left out for the evening to cool down. Absolutely disgusting! Not food safe at all. I was generally concerned I would get food poisoning. Can not believe it took 2 and half hours to bring 2 of our 5 meals out. Shocking service! Shirley then blamed her staff....terrible manager. No organization. Doesn't appear she can run a restaurant. Second time I've ordered here and I must say I'm disappointed that it lacks flavour. First time I ordered in-house Pad Thai noodles and it was dry and bland. The restaurant was busy. Second time I thought maybe they just had an off day and ordered online the Tom Yum main wonton noodle soup with vegetables, I got chicken wontons and pieces in my soup which was confusing because there is another dish Tom Yum chicken noodle soup, anyway, still not really a lot of flavour for me, had a weird smell and the service wasn't good. If this order is correct, they probably need to word it better because I wanted all vegetables. There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant, I stood at the main desk for a couple of minutes, the old lady not greeting me, my order was right there but nobody acknowledged that I was even there. We ordered a take out at 5pm on a friday night for pick up at 6pm. Got there at 5:55pm and didn't get our order till 6:45pm. We have two other ordered offer to us which were not ours. Complete Chaos. No order names, numbers or anything, language problems. We were not just the only ones. The order we got when we got home was wrong. When we got it the meal was nice and hot but we felt it was overpriced. Ranging from $25 to nearly $40 for chines take out is. $120 for 3 dishes plue one entree. We got a chicken dish at $36 and it was way too dear for what it was. Prawn entree at $20 a rip off. Lots of restaurants with better meals better service and better prices. We wont be back.
