Worst treatment of children, got told off for kids being kids. When I asked if there was any coloring pencils so they could draw nothing. My Sister Inlaw was followed like a criminal and blasted in front of us and everyone in the Restaurant about the kids that were not her kids. She left upset and crying in the Car, won't recommend for family with children to eat here the worst treatment abusive and racist treatment. Even the waitress was rude as I spoke of the Racist treatment we got like it wasn't happening, I know what racist treatment looks and feels like, been through this my whole life, I'm not taking Racist behavior we were treated badly. The threatening disgusting behavior come from your staff! We all were all so shocked the treatment you and the other staff member gave we couldn't even speak up for my Sister inlaw you both blasted and humiliated they weren't her children she was CRYING in her car outside! Just because your both Maori doesn't mean you didn't discriminate against us all! How could we eat after the way we're treated????? You and the other staff kept assuming the wrong people were the Parent ask who the Parent is first. And I have every right to post up a review that was what I said I was going to do, the only threatening behavior come from the staff Bullies, no wonder your all looking for new staff all the time. Your in hospitality but there is none. Not even a sorry for a Woman that left crying. And just because we were served by Maori does not mean we did not get discrimination nor does it mean we weren't treated with what I saw was Racism and Colorism too, the Maori nieces and Nephews you assumed my Sister inlaw was the Mother her skin color was brown and their actual Mother was fair skinned, you both assumed the children must of belonged to her and that is what Racism looks and feels like. And I threatened to put this Review up because I want Maori and their Children to be treated with Hospitality and respect and obviously it won't happen at the Station Bar Napier. How about you read the reviews and...
Read moreTraveled from out of town to stay in Napier for the night. We had previously eaten and enjoyed our meals at the station so we decided to go there again for a meal. It was late after our hotel check in but the station advertises full meals avalible untill 11 pm. We arrived there at 10:10pm. We were greeted by a "friendly" waitress named Tiffany who told us they were only serving "snack meals" from the menu. We were dissapointed but agreed to stay and eat. We were given menus, shown a table, and another waitress brung us a bottle of water and glasses. She put the items on the table in a noticeably abrupt way. We noticed both waitresses looking at eachother and us. The two waitresses then conversed with eachother in a noticeably audible manner. My partner and I both heard Tiffany say"well it doesn't look like we'll be done by midnight!" She then Proceeded to start locking the door, which we had walked through 5 minutes earlier.before she was done locking that door we took the obvious hint and both walked out past her. We couldn't believe the speed in which we went from feeling welcome to unwelcome. Next time the staff cant be bothered staying open as long as advertised it may be an idea to close the lock the doors before you have customers walking in. We will be back because we enjoy the food but that experience is unforgettable. No apologies to Tiffany for this, your attitude and service was absolutely...
Read moreJust a single star because I can't give less. Went to The Station for dinner before the movies. We're told 30-35 minutes wait. Ask after 30 mins, no food. 50 mins after ordering still no food. Ask for a take out to try to eat at the movies, but we're not allowed it, so the food went back. I'm not going to stuff my food down in 2 seconds just so I can go to the movie. No appreciation of the fact we needed food and we had ordered some time ago by the manager. Even customers arriving after us are served food first. Honestly 50 minutes from ordering to service in the UK, you wouldn't survive, no one would be visiting. We've been to the other two eateries in the group and the service and speed of service has not been a problem. Busy brunch on a Sunday at the Boardwalk is all in a day's work, but apparently Friday evening at The Station is too much of a problem. Good job I didn't order a second glass of wine (thinking I'd be getting food and a movie to watch before driving home), else you'd have been paying for our taxi too. No we didn't make it to the movies because I have to have food. I can't not eat. Don't worry, we...
