A very rude attitude from the staff Good food in the total. My girlfriend and I came to eat, the manager took us in nicely, we ordered lamb Rump in red wine sauce and my girlfriend ordered vegetarian risotto and two glasses of wine. We waited quite a while to the food (25 minutes) but that did not bother us. The risotto was excellent, but the Lamb's dish was very cold, both the meat and the sides. I asked them to warm it, they warmed the meat and brought me new vegetables, it was much tastier. The problem began with dessert. We asked the waiter to recommend a dessert and he recommended the tiramisu and the chocolate tart, we chose tart. We got a totally dry tart that we could not even take a bite of because the dough was hard, the ice cream was terrible and the chocolate was low quality and not tasty. We told the waitress and she said she'd call the manager. After 5 minutes the manager was in the bar he arrived, and asked if we would like to change the dessert, we changed it to tiramisu. The tiramisu was excellent, but here the problem started, one of the waitresses who was not with us the all evening suddenly came and asked where we were from, and went bluntly without saying anything, We heard from the table that she had said this to the manager and he was getting mad and said mean stuff about our origins. The whole crew ignored us at this point, and that was because we complained about a cold dish and the worst tart we'd ever tasted. We paid and went, all delicious food but the most disrespectful and rude attitude we have received in a restaurant...
Read moreWe had made a reservation for New Year's Eve for 2 people. When we arrived it was very full and crowded, as expected. So we made our way to a staff member to tell we had a reservation. We were told to wait outside because everything was full. The owner then stopped and said several times that it was full and we had to wait at least an hour for a free table. I asked, "Even though we have a reservation?" which was only answered with a "you see how full it is." While we decided to look for another place, he told my husband again that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. My husband pointed out that it's frustrating because we made sure to have a reservation and we won't be able to wait an hour since I am pregnant (8th month). We were rushed inside to a free table and got apologies from owner and staff.
Food was good (we've had pasta and pizza), but it would have been a kind gesture to at least get our softdrinks or at least the water on the house.
While paying, the owner stopped by and apologized again. But in the same sentence, he also said how fat I look - which is exactly what a woman wants to hear on New Year's Eve while eight months pregnant.
Even though the food was good, I can't really recommend the place. The treatment was not blunt but...
Read moreInappropriate behaviour from the male staff member with the grey hair. I went with my sister as she wanted to grab a dessert, but the service was absolutely shocking. Saw an old friend and remained out of the way to say hello to them, and the man grabs around my arm and says "don't bother my guests". Now I understand he probably meant it in a joking way, but I do not know this man, and I certainly did not give him permission to grab me like that. I felt like my privacy was invaded. Perhaps if he had to touch to get my attention, a tap on the arm, but to fully grab around the arm of a young woman you don't know is horrific behaviour that I found quite triggering for past events. In addition to that, we were directed to sit outside and someone would come to take our order. 15 minutes we waited, trying to get staff attention, and being completely ignored while others were served. Afterwards when my sister went to pay, I couldn't stand to go in there again, she said he was rude and dismissive to her. Barely paying her attention, compared to the charm he lavished upon the male customer paying before her. The food might be good, but the service is misogynistic and inappropriate...
